Huntingdon’s Coach Wilkins is coaching the middle school girls and high school girls. I’ve heard this summer that the middle school girls are playing against high school JV squads and winning by 30 plus.

Don't suprise me. Greenfield had a  Junior High bunch that didn't lose a game for a long while. Micah Hart was a 6th grader and could beat a lot of High School girls. Sounds like y'all have some good days ahead. I have heard y'all have lots of help on the way.

Loretto beat Livingston by 2 and Smith County by 12.  This team is looking good.  South Lawrence Middle School is winning really big in their summer camps games.  Lady Mustang basketball looking to have some very good teams for the next several years.

I watched games over there Monday and Tuesday. 

USJ - Ayers is incredible; the rest of the team is okay, they play hard; no size other than Ayers; they will miss the red head from last year but Ayers may be enough to win another title

Wayne Co - Baugus is really good; they have three other good players and their size will bother people; guard play is down from past years; still a contender

Richland - surprise of the week for me; they had the best PG at the camp - blonde junior, not sure of name - she was impressive; Higgins can flat shoot it; this could be a state tournament team

South Gibson - still not healthy; played most of the minutes with four freshmen, 1 sophomore, 1 junior; played well at times and struggled at times - looked young; if their injured girls come back healthy, they will be dangerous

Franklin Road Academy - got a couple guards that I really liked, no post play but well coached and competitive 

Lawrence Co - they’re not very good; have a young post that played physical but not skilled; played tough against Wayne Co for a half then got blown out by South Gibson

Hickman Co - got a transfer guard that can play; played hard; I liked them - sleeper pick to win their district

Cascade - competitive; young coach that girls seemed to respond to well; 

Harpeth - not very good

Gleason - not very good but they beat other bad teams because they are well coached

Lewis Co - new coach trying to rebuild, not good; couple kids that might be decent with some work

Hampshire - really bad

I appreciate the reminder of how bad I was as a coach and I agree all these high school coaches know more than I ever will including Coach Hibdon.  But I wanted to clarify I don’t post on these fan/parent sites, especially bashing any players, coaches, or teams.  Good Luck to every team, have a great summer camp season with no significant injuries.

Been watching a lot of ball. Do know USJ and Westview are going to be good but hadn't seen. Also heard good things on South Gibson and Huntingdon. 

Dyersburg-Maybe the most talented bunch to walk the floors of West TN. Jordan and Crawford both are good enough to win Miss Basketball. They are very deep and Jr. High is loaded. My number 1 team in  AAA.

South Side-Askins is a special player as well who could win Miss Basketball as well. They are just so athletic and play great defense and are so well coached just another very hard team to beat. They are my number 2 team in AAA and yes they could beat Dyersburg on a given day. They are that good.

Do know White County and Upperman will also be good. So no disrespect to nobody across the river but Dyersburg and South Side are just really good.

Union City-Really good PG and really good post play. Don't be suprised if they get to Murfreesboro and win a Gold Ball. Yes I said it. Pickett County will be favored again but Union City is my dark horse. 

Gibson County-Has already knocked off some powerhouses in Arkansas and Kentucky. Losing Micah Hart and 21 PPG and a Miss Basketball winner won't be easy but we have some really good basketball players. I look for GIbson County to be 9 deep. Some of the girls that didn't play last year are stepping up this summer and showing that they can play. Very proud of our girls and will be a very tough out.

 I see where white co plays dyersburg on thursday. Looks like we might get our state championship game after all. Please keep us updated. We will find out how good we think we are!

No we are playing in Missouri Wednesday and Thursday. Wish I could make it. I would may $100.00 a ticket to watch Dyersburg, South Side, White County and Upperman play in a 4 team Tournament. All four are really good teams. Any of them can beat each other on a given day I am sure. Dyersburg just crazy talent. They have five setting on the bench that would win a ton of games.
