Recommended Posts

I don’t kno the move in coaches but if I had my guess Gregory , Eden , maybe west if he gives up jr high… what about the Timberlake guy? Is he a teacher? He looks like he would be big on discipline and old time football I’ll never forget watching them guys in the day..

Shoulders from Macon co.  A creasy protege. Has the best coached team in the area as of late. Not much shot to win a state title at Macon but could very well be a contender with the talent coming up through the peewee and junior high ranks in TC I hear. He my dark horse candidate. trousdale co fans could also brag to their neighbors that they talked their best coach into coming to TC on a year of such high expectations at Macon co. My dark horse candidate

Would be a great name and great hire but Macon has no pressure at all I just don’t see who would want to deal with the mess in tc. I live in Macon I would hate hate hate to lose shoulders lol

Which luminary shall reprise the mantle to helm Trousdale County's football endeavors? Shall it be the venerable Waggoner, Barker, or the illustrious Creasy? Might Clint grace us anew in the capacity of coach? Pray, to which sheriff doth your discourse pertain? Should it be the distinguished Ray Russell, his acumen is indeed noteworthy.

Clint and Blake sitting at home right now after Sunday service having a family discussion.   Pork Chops and Greens on the menu, and maybe some cookies and milk for a snack later.

Clint probably told him he sucked and ruined the legacy, and would be right.

The next HC sits in MJ, but wears blue, JMO.

Might I inquire whether Gallatin has ever wielded significance worthy of consideration? I am inclined to redirect your focus towards matters more pressing, such as the welfare of your own football team, rather than ours. It is not without reason that you refrain from arranging future encounters with us.

Lol when was last time they won region or got past the 3 rd round.

The gustatory amalgamation of succulent pork chops juxtaposed with verdant greens indeed evokes a sensory delight. Clint's narrative, imbued with the ethos of resilience, navigated the tumultuous waters of the 1980s with commendable fortitude. As for the prospective successor to the coaching helm, the mention of esteemed mentor Nick Saban's absence prompts a discerning hesitation towards alternative candidates, for excellence is the sole criterion deemed worthy of emulation.

Pray, may I inquire as to your esteemed identity? Are you perchance a luminary within the domain of coaching, endowed with unparalleled wisdom and insight?

My kind sir, you seem to be lost within the time space continuum having traveled from the 16th Century or you aspire to hide your true intelligence by masking your language with that of the great playwright. You know good and well, your commentary takes your fellow comrades hours to decipher what you are really saying and most of them are likely left questioning whether you have insulted them or find them to be in your favor. I offer you some advice. In my travels through this area of the country, it is best to speak slow and with a twang and you don't annunciate  words to their fullest. Your points will be clear then!

Any names been mentioned around town as Actual Applicants to this job? Seen several post mentioning individuals, but I haven't heard of any of them except for Shoulders. Does he have ties to TC?  Have amy of the other names mentioned ever been in the HC position before?

Shoulders dad graduated for TC, and Kyle began his coaching career early on at TC although he wasn't there long. Shoulders would be a homerun, but don't see him leaving Macon anytime soon.

The yearning for enlightenment has been an incessant companion, fueling an insatiable thirst for knowledge and understanding. Given your extensive coverage of football and the apparent breadth of your expertise, I am inclined to seek your esteemed opinion on the matter: who, in your estimation, emerges as the favored candidate? Furthermore, since the mantle of head coach has been vacated, upon whom would you bestow the mantle of leadership?

I would be very fond of any coach that has graduated from Trousdale County. I would also consider coaches that have a resume that includes working for some of the GOATS of coaching high school football in TN (Rankin, Creasy, Satterfield,etc.). I think everyone in this thread knows the names that would fit this criteria. I hope whomever gets this honor takes this as a privilege and treats the TC program like it should be treated. This is the biggest hire in program history in my opinion. But ultimately my opinion means nothing.

The individual in question appears to engage in prolific posting without a discernible purpose. It is my conjecture that, in offline interactions, they derive considerable satisfaction from their own verbal expressions.

Schedule opens up next year, give us a call.

Alas, your inquiry persists without resolution. Within the intricate tapestry of criteria delineated, the identification of a singular candidate who effortlessly encapsulates the synthesis of essential attributes proves to be a formidable task. It must be noted that the mere apprenticeship under a revered mentor does not inevitably confer suitability for the esteemed role within the Trousdale County coaching hierarchy. Indeed, compatibility transcends mere proximity, necessitating a profound alignment of values, principles, and competencies to ensure a harmonious union with the esteemed responsibilities inherent to this distinguished position.

Sounds to me like you know who I prefer lol although I do prefer that candidate because of our friendship, I would be perfectly fine with a couple other of the names that have been mentioned.

    • Man we have seen very crazy things happen in West TN over the years at basketball games. Emotions fly high, but usually everybody kinda forgets what happens during games if it is not a shooting.
    • There are weird people in every aspect of wrestling and that’s what makes it a great sport!  As far as schools/coaches not wanting to compete against other schools unless the chances of winning (home gym, coach picks the official, the competition date is perfect for school/coaches X).  When carefully examining the situation so many coaches/schools have lost sight of the big picture and that is to teach student athletes that the most important goal is not winning a championship but too continue fighting and trying to reach your goals when things don’t go your way.
    • His infatuation with Baylor is just plain weird.
    • Okay, I'm going to go down the list. Comer left McKenzie to go to Milan, got a big pay raise, and if it does teach at Milan, it's a small/light course. He made it to Chattanooga. Why leave? Hodge: I don't know Hodge compared to the others, but why leave McKenzie (unless for money)? They're a 1A school with MASE going to 2A. They were leading MASE big time in the semifinal game. They could've/should've been state champions. Ward: If Ward wants in on that job, I think Crockett County will be glad to pay for the real estate fees. Puckett: I don't know what to make of Puckett. Is he a good coach? I believe so, but I also think he has a lot of pressure in 2025 to do well. I would love for him to stay. I know he could be the one to leave of the list you gave me. But he hasn't been at Haywood very long either. Jacobs: Unless he wants a new challenge, it'll be a mistake for him to leave. I think the future for Peabody is in better hands than people may think. I think USJ is the best job. They're going back down to D2-A level. The region won't be as strong, they should do well in the playoffs. Facilities are top notch, and it pays well. I think Milan could be the job in D-1, my opinion. I know Henry County is a good job, but it's tough to say it's the "best job" when they're in a tough spot geography  wise, may not be the best team in that region/that side of 5A, and they're telling the new coach that he is going to teach, which is something coaches don't want to do nowadays.
