Not exactly sure what you were trying to say, however, just pointing out the obvious. Rankin has been a very successful coach, and has more victories than any other Tennessee head football coach past or present. Kevin Creasy has created a better dynasty at Oakland than Rankin did at Riverdale.

break it down for the T nation Augustus

Booger just sayin

Hard to debate who has/had better dynasty, Rankin or Creasy. But with that said, Rankin built the Riverdale Dynasty. Oakland was already on the right track when Creasy took over. It would be better to compare Alcoa Dynasty to Oaklands. Just my opinion. Time will tell but I don't see anyone overtaking Rankin anytime soon.

With exceptions, most of Rankin's team weren't loaded with talent. If LOD was still here, he'd tell ya how they'd consistently win in the trenches despite being smaller than their opposition.

Rankin 9 title games in the 5 class era, a few of those in years where they probably shouldn't have. Creasy did did win 3 consecutive titles (something Rankin never did at Riverdale) but he also had a 3-4 year head start, Oakland just needed that little extra oomph to get to the top.

Both will be remembered as truly great coaches and I don't think one dynasty is any less impressive than the other

Booger you have to understand that Auggie has a boy crush on KC. In Auggie's mind, KC is greater than Vince Lombardi.

Booger when Rankin came from Smith County, Riverdale was at the bottom of the heap. He built RHS from scratch with Rutherford Co. players, not players from Nashville, Woodbury, Chattanooga like KC. KC inherited a semi-final team that McDaniel left him and he added his recruits from all over to supplement his success. Rankin is by far a better coach and more ethical coach.

What I want to know is when Creasy retires and moves to another state, are you actually going to contribute to a thread on here or just regurgitate the same crap.

Maybe Houston's HC will let you stalk him since you like his shorts so much

I doubt anyone will surpass his win total.   He is in his 70"s and still doing it. As for Creasy inheriting a well-oiled machine at Oakland, couldn't be further from the truth.

Bragg, it is obvious not only do you not know the history of Riverdale's football prior to Rankin, you are an so envious of Coach Creasy's success.  Continue checking out coaches'  attire. That appears to be  the only thing you are good at.

Auggie, so Dean Fisher's 7 loss season before Rankin came in was better ?  You better check the history.

And while you're at it, did you pull the plug for KC's bathtub water this morning ?

Not true. they were at the bottom of the heap, but he built it with players from different places. Eric Locke ring a bell?

Juicy was from Cookeville. Juicy didn't just happen to get a job in Rutherford Co. Also, you failed to mention Rutherford Co was open zoning back then, so it was simple to just go to whoever was the best team.

You appear to be fixated with coaches' attire and their bathing habits. I think you might be a little  sissy.

    • Gordy lost a RB and was playing their second game without him. The kids they had on the field had two weeks to practice and gameplan without him. Obviously, his backup is capable. We lost, not a RB, but one the most productive RBs in the entire state on the first play of the 3rd Q. After the coaches made halftime adjustments which I assume included a lot of #13 on offense and defense. We also lost our leading receiver and best defensive player on last play of 2nd Q. Both of their backups weren't available Friday. The 3rd RB went out after two carries. Our 4th RB plays every snap on defense and special teams and was exhausted by the 4Q. More backups than starters were on the defense in the 4Q when the wheels came off.     Again sounds like a guy who watched last quarter of the game. The stream failed in the first half so maybe that's what happened. Plays you missed, our guys did multiple shifts and motion on punt team and hit an uncovered guy downfield for a huge conversion. Former DC at Oakland was completely fooled. Facing a 4th and 12 our guys perfectly executed a hook and lateral for a 35 yard TD and took the lead in the 2ndQ. No way either of those happens last season.  Gordy has been there before. 2nd or 3rd round playoff games are not an expectation but has been a reality there. Their coach is in his 3rd season with a much more storied football program. The only difference in the teams going into the 4Q was a botched XP. It was 28-19, a one TD difference, with 6 minutes to play.  If #13 and 0 are healthy for 4 quarters, we win this game. Go back and watch the 2023 game, nothing was like the year before. Our line isn't big or physical we will get out-muscled by big physical teams. That's physics not coaching. We don't have the DBs to cover anyone, so coach has a choice protect your DBs and get gashed by the run or play the run and watch your DBs chase 5 yards behind wide open receivers.    Which QB are you going with? This offense needs a guy who is either a good runner or a great reader or an accurate passer. All three would be ideal. Neither has separated himself from the other. It's been a wash when they're in there. They both need to be on the field on offense and defense.
