5 guys still left in the tournament.  3 Baylor, 1 CCS, 1 Sebolt Academy

How did the Cleveland guys do?  Does McCallie support offseason wrestling?

Annnnd Baylor still can't win a State Championship...... they are doing really well for the 3rd best team in TN.

Maybe next year?

Well team state championships are based on 14 weight classes. Much different than a kid getting on the podium at Fargo.  But I suspect you know that.

It seems like they lost a few of their starters unexpectedly, but I believe they have won a state championship before. They will probably win at least one more in the next 20 years.

Anyways, maybe if they try hard, they can be like you and wear their Carson-Newman football rings around at 55 years old. Manager of the year!

Congrats on runner up to big brother mccallie at state. But if you want to tune in at 7:00 for the finals, you can watch Cleveland’s Hudson Chittum wrestle. Cleveland also had Caroline Hilton wrestle in the finals the other night as well. Have a good evening enjoying Cleveland’s  finalist Bobby

Congrats to the Norman's and Sturgill for getting super close.  Chittum and Ryder Smith in 16U finals, that is awesome.

I admit that I'm surprised we didn't get at least one medalist at the Junior level.   Tough freestyle tournament for sure.

After some digging i was told Titus missed weight this morning by a couple pounds. Can anyone confirm this?

Tough loss for Chittum and for Hilton but neither wrestle for Cleveland and neither wrestle for higher calling do they? Pretty sure Chittum is Boom Ranch and Hilton is Minion, but maybe I’m wrong on that.

Ryder has a tough row to hoe also with number 1 seed coming up.

Is Hudson going to Cleveland next year? I had heard Caroline was?

    • There are weird people in every aspect of wrestling and that’s what makes it a great sport!  As far as schools/coaches not wanting to compete against other schools unless the chances of winning (home gym, coach picks the official, the competition date is perfect for school/coaches X).  When carefully examining the situation so many coaches/schools have lost sight of the big picture and that is to teach student athletes that the most important goal is not winning a championship but too continue fighting and trying to reach your goals when things don’t go your way.
    • His infatuation with Baylor is just plain weird.
    • Okay, I'm going to go down the list. Comer left McKenzie to go to Milan, got a big pay raise, and if it does teach at Milan, it's a small/light course. He made it to Chattanooga. Why leave? Hodge: I don't know Hodge compared to the others, but why leave McKenzie (unless for money)? They're a 1A school with MASE going to 2A. They were leading MASE big time in the semifinal game. They could've/should've been state champions. Ward: If Ward wants in on that job, I think Crockett County will be glad to pay for the real estate fees. Puckett: I don't know what to make of Puckett. Is he a good coach? I believe so, but I also think he has a lot of pressure in 2025 to do well. I would love for him to stay. I know he could be the one to leave of the list you gave me. But he hasn't been at Haywood very long either. Jacobs: Unless he wants a new challenge, it'll be a mistake for him to leave. I think the future for Peabody is in better hands than people may think. I think USJ is the best job. They're going back down to D2-A level. The region won't be as strong, they should do well in the playoffs. Facilities are top notch, and it pays well. I think Milan could be the job in D-1, my opinion. I know Henry County is a good job, but it's tough to say it's the "best job" when they're in a tough spot geography  wise, may not be the best team in that region/that side of 5A, and they're telling the new coach that he is going to teach, which is something coaches don't want to do nowadays.
    • That is one heck of a difficult schedule. The cowards from alcoa would never..
