West dominance is over

They are small, not very fast besides a couple kids and young looking. Catholic dominated from the first snap. Reminded me of last time they met in regular season.

West’s running back embarrassed the Catholic defense, and I’m not throwing shade at Catholic, but it’s pretty hard to lose games when you can just throw it up to number 7 every single play, and there’s about an 80% chance he will get the ball and score. Also, I’ve mentioned it in another thread, but their running back, Matthew Rogers, is going to be very good. He’s only a freshman, but he moves like a senior. West looks sloppy; they are definitely not the same team they’ve had in the past two years, but they still have playmakers on the field. The defensive backfield for West is very stout, and although number 7 did have his way with them, I don’t think there are many defenses in Knoxville that could stop him.

Based off the Smithey video, it was nothing but a King show. Then I saw A Catholic coach this morning. I assure you, based on yesterday’s scrimmage, there are some serious concerns within the Catholic program. He stated he wouldn’t count West out of anything.

West will still be in 5a game. Heard they ran the ball up and down cedar bluff. Catholic Dline is average. They exposed some of our weaknesses. West qb has to get better and make better decisions. Good thing for west is they are in a weak 5a and bad thing for Catholic is they are in D2.  Go dawgs

Catholic will still not compete in their division. They should beat every public school. They recruit better than Bearden does.

    • I can tell by your post you are one of those workers with tender nipples always with the company, foreman, co-workers etc. are against me. Jeez Bud after 35 years call it a career (if scraping gum up around the facility is a career) and just F'ing retire. The lady in HR has had to be talked down off the roof ledge while threatening to jump because she's sick of seeing your complaints come across her desk.  As for those players that you say so eloquently that can "piss up a rope". May I suggest that some of them will someday play at the college level if they are well coached at the High School level. ( I know HS was unfair so you quit in your freshman year for a job scrubbing the urinals at Mama Wangs Oriental Massage Parlor)  I ride with orngnblk on having the displaced sons of GB come home.
    • I would agree. UC wins and a dog fight for 2-4. Still I hope Halls ends up with a solid season to give the community something to hang their hat on.
    • After this first round of Region games, three teams are 1-0 in Region 7-3A: Covington Westview Bolivar Having Bolivar off to a 1-0 start is a definite surprise.
    • In Class A, it is my opinion that FCS should be above FACS and PCA is rated too high as well. JMO
    • No worries. I was just trying to make it clear for those who might not know who are actual Marion County posters. There are only a few of us and stay to ourselves for the most part. I've been doing a lot of traveling for work and this will be the  first game of the season I'm able to make it to. Thanks to whoever started the thread.    I would be shocked if this one is a blowout. Like coy said, the rain will be a definite disadvantage for the Warriors.
