The 99th Coffee Pot

The Tullahoma Wildcats host the Coffee County Red Raiders for the 99th Coffee Pot game Friday at Wilkins Stadium. Expecting 6-7,000 folks.

Tullahoma won last year 16-0 and has won 6 out of the last 7 and 13 out of the last 16.

Coffee Co. opened with a 49-0 rout of Franklin County.
Tullahoma opened falling to Stewarts Creek 33-21.

Tullahoma should win this game. The fact that it’s a rivalry and the Tullahoma run D is a bit suspect makes me think it will be close though. Can’t wait for Friday to get here though.

From what I’ve seen from CC against FC and what I’ve heard about Tullahoma.

It's a close game. I'm picking CC by 4. The new offense and defense are looking good. This is a much different team than last year. Coy will have his Cats ready to play. It could be one of the best matchups in a few years.

I'll take the Wildcats and give 9.5 to the visiting Raiders.

Coffee county is no where near the Stewart’s creek team.  The rest of the season will bear this out.  I got Cats by 20.  I don’t know what happened in Franklin county but the wildcats are light years better prepared than the rebels.  And there’s our band. That’s worth 10 points when the opposition can’t hear their signals.

It’s been frustrating to watch. Wildcats should be up at least 13-7. There was a missed PI on the pick. The punt return TD was the flukiest thing I’ve ever seen. Cats making small mistakes too.

Good thing there is still plenty of time for them to get things corrected. Don't see Tullahoma covering the aforementioned 20 point spread now.
