You can’t do anything when your players have been getting poached for decades. The only coach to put a stop to it was Brad Taylor during some of the best years at Bearden, and then he went on to do it at Karns. Now we have another coach putting a stop to it, and you’re just so upset for some reason. Was Oak Ridge really getting that many football players zoned for Bearden?

I'm not upset about anything.  Bearden has never done anything in football and they never will, so why would  I be upset.  And I don't know of any Bearden kids that played at OR.  If I was you though, I would be upset that crew you call a coaching staff is an embarrassment to the school and their house of cards will collapse soon, enjoy the circus while it's in town.

It seems like OR had brothers who moved to OR from Bearden 5-6 years ago. I can't remember their names but they were good players.

OK, I really didn’t want to talk about the Alcoa game because I enjoy hearing what people think on Coach T, since most of them don’t have a clue. But hey, let me make you look like a clown. There are no 7-on-7 coaches or recruiting people involved. The only person you should be focusing on is Darien Stone, the coach who originally got the flag called on him for “The Run and Bump.”

He’s the assistant coach for high school football who saw the play unfold with his former quarterback-turned-receiver-turned-quarterback. As for the other guy you think is some recruiter, he is a former assistant coach at Bearden high school he has a brother who currently coaches at Bearden High School and he is also the middle school coach, he can be on that sideline despite what you think of course he’s not going to be anymore but he has a right to be there. He had no reason to run onto the field, but he’s been reprimanded for it. So that’s that the end of the story it’s a new week. The team has moved on obviously you haven’t but, I’m sure you’ll come up with some other ridiculous narrative in your head to make yourself look more like a clown.

To act as if West High School recruiting West Valley players has just started or has only been going on for two or three years ago, is laughable and a clown act,  it has been happening for decades. West High School has been recruiting West Valley football players who are zoned for Bearden High School ever since I attended. Not to mention, the West high school football coaches who were on the staff at West Valley whom always formed good relationships with the players on the football team. For you to suggest this started happening only since JJ walked in is truly a clown act.

From my perch at West High,

I’m referring to the sudden spike in West Valley kids trying to escape the nonsense in the Bearden program in what is ‘push’ factor more than a ‘pull’ factor. Kids at West Valley see what is happening to players like Drew Parrot who are getting mistreated and are opting out on a raw deal. Some families in that community don’t want their kids to be recruited over. Bearden will be fine in the interim so long as they supplement their low real numbers with the transfers. Bearden doesn’t have as strong of a program as West or Farragut without it.

Thus, the house of cards crumbles, just a matter of time.  I think Dawgs4L is just butthurt because they will let anybody and their brother with a Bearden golf shirt down on the sideline, but he has to do his sniffing from behind the fence.  Sad really.

I mean, I don’t really care. I’ve always believed in the kids should have the right to go to the school where they want to go to and they feel they have a better opportunity to go to but a lot of those kids are just rain chasing and will probably never start just like the quarterback. Y’all got a few years ago whose brother started at Bearden. He will likely never see the field, but at least he will get a ring, if they wanna get coached and get developed and get a lot of offers, they have two great choices between Lamar Brown and JJ coaches with a lot of contacts and I’ve put a lot of kids into college but good on west anything‘s better than Catholic or Webb or CAK for some reason nowadays.

I really don’t get this point, Drew Barrett has never wanted to be a quarterback. He has always been the most athletic and best suited to play quarterback, and he wants to win, so that’s what he did. He’s playing the position he loves now and played in middle school and has always wanted to play, which is receiver. He’s definitely happier, but he’s just a pure athletic freak. He would play any position the team needed him to. However, the position he wanted to play and wants to play in college is receiver, and thankfully, offers are rolling in for him now at receiver because he probably wasn’t going to go far as a quarterback—no offense, just the truth.

kind of what happened with John before you know y’all poached him.

Are you just a sheriff burner? How many times are you going to repeat, "The cards are crumbling," or whatever? Is that just stuck in your head like Rain Man’s “underwear at Kmart” = “cards are crumbling”? I still don’t get the sniffing reference, and you probably don’t either. You just saw it with other mass disinformation about Coach T and started repeating it again like Rain Man. Is that your secret identity? Are you Rain Man?

They didn’t move.

I'm not going to disagree with you because I can't even remember their names, but their mother used to run along the streets of OR for exercise. It seems strange to me that someone who lives in Knoxville would drive to OR to get in her running. Is running in neighborhoods not allowed in Knoxville?

    • Read an article today where Anderson County got a Beerden transfer. Davy Boy Gillum is really selling his soul to try to get his daddy ball son a few wins.
    • They’ve got the old Big East conference back together. The only thing that conference was known for is beating up on the upper east TN directional schools then coming down to Knoxville and getting beat in the first or second round of the playoffs.
    • Poor Ray Co, they may never be relevant again after Power I Pemberton left. The Andy Kelly’s of the world ain’t going to Ray Co anymore.
    • Sad that backwards Campbell Soup County ran off the best coach in their history because this wife was black.  It’s ok to have a gigantic sex shop with places to have sex in the open, but they draw the line at whites marrying blacks.
