Stars it was a pleasure meeting you before the game as well.

Hats off to Maryville they kicked our butts in every category during the entire game.

Those guys are definitely on a mission and I actually feel sorry for the rest of their schedule as they will just continue to improve week in and week out.

#1 and #5 for them are lethal with or without that huge oline in front of them.

Defensively everyone is physical and what I like to call head hunters. All three units just fly to the ball and lay the wood everytime. Hats off to them for setting the tone early and throughout the game.

As for West, we have a lot to work on and sadly the schedule does not get any easier.

For one the fact that you are averaging 2 to 3 turnovers a game is unacceptable. Inteceptions and tipped balls are one thing, but the fumbles by the tailbacks have hurt us at the worst possible times. I would love for every running back to carry the ball around school and everyone try to swipe it out of their hands (like in The Program movie) so they learn the importance of holding onto it.

I thought both lines of scrimmage for us were better than they are, but I was wrong and im hoping its just bc of who they faced last night.

Im not giving up on the season as I feel West has a great shot to go deep into the playoffs again in 5A if they can stay healthy, find a balanced offensive identity and cut down the turnovers.

Hopefully this game is a wakeup call to our team and is what is needed to still accomplish our goals!

Go West!

Maryville was awesome last night. Defense was sensational.  They layed the wood last night. They are aggressive. Maryville won the LOS on both sides. There isn't a sophomore Quarterback I would trade Will Jones for. Price Davis ran hard. Can't wait to get Ory Vananda Walker back. It will be a 3 headed monster at RB. Cam Porter is doing well. I hope Casey Cobble is alright. Oline is awesome. On that screen pass Price Davis scored on Alex Boyd crushed a West guy on a block.

Maryville looks like the old Maryville. That offense is perfect for Will Jones. Probably want have a close game until 4th round of the playoffs.

Remember we have to go to the Dawg House here in a couple of weeks. Can’t count ole Joshie out. I saw him last night at the game scouting out my Rebels.

I still stand by the statement that until someone in 5A knocks off West they are the team to beat.
