Greeneville @ Alcoa

Recommended Posts

A few years ago I went to a Greeneville playoff game.    Walking into the stands, there were a bunch of little kids maybe 8-10 years old out tossing a football around.     I stopped briefly to toss a few passes their way, they were all talking about how exciting it would be to be on the Greeneville team when they grew up.           That is one of the differences between programs like Greeneville & Alcoa and all the other mediocrity around them.      Even the loser in this game is ultimately a winner.

The boys will be playing with a heavy heart on Thursday. They lost one of their teammates from last year’s team. RIP #8

I hated to hear about it and know everyone in Greeneville is grieving. Dabney always had a smile on his face and was loved by everyone in Greeneville.  He wasn't afraid to hit you either on the field from his Safety Position. RIP #8

I am taking Greeneville in this one. They will be fired up and I didn't see the same Alcoa team when I watched them. But I don't know enough about Greeneville. I just have a feeling Greeneville might win this comfortably,10 pts.

Thanks Mav. Good insight from a worthy and battle harden opponent.
