I was at that game.  It was a good win for AC but I don't read too much into it.  AC played well and looked better coached.  Bearden was flat and missing several key players.  AC did not have an answer for #22 from Bearden but he played sparingly.  Go look at my comments on that game thread. 

Powell wasn't flat by any means but they were missing a couple guys too. They got those guys back and bam, destroyed Oak Ridge. 

When and if AC beats West I'll start to think we have a chance to get past the 3rd round.  

Finally, this is a GV vs Alcoa thread.  Good luck to both teams going forward and it looked like there were no injuries on either side which is what we all want.  Alcoa just looked like they had better athletes and a great game plan.  They played with great confidence.

I honestly didn't think Alcoa was going to win last night. The score really surprised me. Great win for Alcoa. I guess scheduling all the bigger schools is definitely paying off. 

Both teams will be a handful for opponents come playoff time!

Alcoa made adjustments in the 2nd half and Greeneville did not. That was the difference in the game.

Eli Owens is a great player and deserves the headlines he gets. Saying that Eli Graf is the best player on that team. He is flat out scary with the ball in his hands.

Greeneville can’t pass well unless they are playing teams like Grainger but against the big boys they fall flat

Fact. He is every bit as talented as Randall  Cobb was at the QB position.
