Heritage is 1 Win away from the Championship series. Huntingdon will be tough to beat a 2nd time. 
 

It looks like Lakeland Prep could be the team from the other side. What do we know about them?

It was another fantastic season for the Heritage Patriots, but their run is about to come up short. Huntingdon is up 11-2 with 3 more outs to get to move on to the Championship series. Frustrating that Heritage was so close. They beat Huntingdon yesterday, only to lose to them twice today. Good luck to them against Lakeland Prep.

 

And congrats to my Heritage Patriots.

Heritage is a great team and had a great season. Y’all’s shortstop made some amazing plays today. Hope the Mustangs can come out and get it done tomorrow.

This is David Limbaugh, SID at Riverdale. What makes you say that?  The Party Decks?  The chairback seats?  The seating past the dugouts?  

You DO understand why the TSSAA went to 4 sites?  Last year our Thursday D2 Games had several rain delays. First game started at 10:00am  -  I left MTSU Stadium at 1:00a and had to be back at the park for Friday's 4 games at 8:00am.

With the weather forecast, TSSAA chose 4 turf fields.  Each field could work around any rain with backing up the other 6 teams playing that day.  

I have been involved with High School Sports since 1997.  I have 50+ Warrior Spring Classic each Spring.  https://5starassets.blob.core.windows.net/multi-media/2581898/hub/32nd Annual Warrior Spring Classic Program.pdf   35 MLB players have played in our 32 WSCs.   

If you held all 4 games at Middle and rain delays took place good luck finding a hotel tonight on a 3-day weekend with tourists around the world coming here for vacation and renting rooms in the Murfreesboro area.

Keep in mind TSSAA Champions Sites are awarded via bids. Local Chambers of Commerces. Hotels. Being this close to Nashville they have no problem selling rooms on the weekend, so want to sells rooms to Spring Fling Tuesday,Wednesday and Thursday.  TSSAA does NOT set the schedule, the winning bidder does.The reason it begins on Tuesday and ends on Friday.     Thank you for your time and look forward to your responses to my questions.

So because you had to stay up until 1 AM one night last year, that is enough to take away the experience of a lifetime of playing on a college field for kids that have worked the tails off for years??

No - and obviously you didn't READ what I WROTE.   I have NO problem staying to 1:00am - ask folks that know me.  Some years a friend and I leave MTSU after the last game on Friday night and go to Hoover to work on grounds crew because those folks have been there all week. The tourists are coming for NASHVILLE and staying in the Boro.  Reason Spring Fling goes from Tuesday to Friday. Friday night rooms are booked for others. 2 years ago when Finals were on Sunday because of rain I was helping folks find rooms in Manchester, Tullahoma and McMinnville.

IF we had played all 4 games at Middle and had several rain delays and then we get cancelled in middle of game 3 a lot of folks would be scrambling for rooms...   Call a hotel in Murfreesboro and ask for 24 beds for players and coaches and 50 for parents and fans.  Keep in mind 4 teams are doing this.
