39-9 this week. 3 of these were 1 point loses and 1 was a 3 point loss. Upsets to me were William Blount over Mo East, York over Bledsoe, Chatt. Central over Tyner and Polk County over Tellico. The one I should have known better was the Walker Valley over Bradley Central. Bradley has went from the pent house to the out house.  I was going to change it but forgot to and just left it after a few people sent me messages why Walker Valley would win. When I look at the list of up and coming games Sunday 1/3 of them  a caveman can figure  out and by Monday I'm down to 10-12 teams and they can go either way. I have to start digging hard to figure out the rest. I'm just a great fan of the game and hope everyone enjoys plus I enjoy going against the guys in the paper.

Been a Bear fan through thick and thin. Was there for the State Championship and the 0-10's. 50+ years of going to games watching them. But this is likely the most drastic drop from one year to another that I can remember with an existing coach. Granted losing 18 of your starters to graduation (6 of them signing high level scholarships) and having to replace them with freshmen, sophomores and a few juniors is not a recipe for success.

Then have your starting QB go down (at least he had been in the system for 2 years), then by the end of the game you are on your second freshman QB due to injury (concussion) it looks bad. Then a controversial transfer of an experienced QB who then goes down to another season ending injury, makes it even worse. Now playing the former TE at QB?

As a picking guru (joking guys) I would have a hard time picking the Bears in most any game going forward, unless I see something drastic in improvement offensively. Defense will play hard and looks decent, not great, but that is not enough to win in this league.

I didn't know the transfer was out also.

I still think they should go with one of the young QBs. The TE they played Friday won’t be the QB next year (or ever) and it makes them too one dimensional. Plus, you don’t have to worry about covering him. It might not make a difference but at least you’re giving reps to young guys who will end up playing the position in the future.

I think Cleveland may try to score 100 on them.

Mcminn has let me down two weeks in a row barn, at least central is worth watching this year. Seems like those two are never good at same time. Should be heading up there to sweetwater to watch them and central play Friday.

I have no doubt of that.

I would have gone with one of the Freshman QB's too and took the lumps with them. Would have been better prepared for he future.
