Lol

I do like a lot of your intakes but I will say this if both teams come ready to play and Haywood come ready to play it still will be a running clock if Haywood doesn't come to play i still believe they win

Chiledeme asked who are the strong teams/contenders on the west side of the bracket?  I simply attempted to give an unbiased response.

Haywood, Dyer Co. and Crockett Co. are strong teams and all three are still in contention for the Region 7 Championship.  At this point, Crockett Co. is at somewhat of a disadvantage due to the Cavaliers' loss to Dyer Co., but you can’t rule the Cavs out. There’s still plenty of football left to play and anything can happen.

We can have the Haywood vs. Crockett Co. and Haywood vs. Dyer Co. discussions the last two weeks of October.

Can anyone beat PC?

To be trueful UC after the first two loses and the Station Camp rain game some folks have jumped of the PC train. We had a few starters go down but yesterday they all played for the first time and everybody is back to there regular role/rotation, We got White house this week at WH which is normally a tough game. I've also seen alot of media reporting Marshall is going to beat us this year. Them to add the cherry on top Haywood is coming out the west.

Marshall gets Pearl at home this year (regular season). We have much more team speed than we have had in the last few years, so I think this will be a much more competitive game than the 41-17 and 42-20 games that we have been losing to them. We are also much deeper than we have been the last 3-4 years (much less injuries). So, we’ll see.

I think your selling yourselves short. When have yall NOT have overall great team speed?

I guess they just wanted to make an outlandish prediction because I don't see Haywood getting past Marshall/Pearl-Cohn at all. It's a toss up between MC and P-C but I'm thinking MC will edge out P-C in the playoffs due to home field advantage. Their matchup in week 11 will reveal who's ready to go to Chattanooga

This will be a great game to go watch. Both very good schools with great traditions.

    • Just wanted to let the Coach T  community know that Dr. Pete Kelley “Mountain Troll” has passed away.  He was extremely instrumental in bringing TSSAA football to our mountain. Eagles Football owes a lot to Dr. Pete Kelley, who believed in the dream of SMMHS and worked hard to ensure we had a stadium, field with drainage, permanent building for concessions, restrooms, and equipment, and regular mowings of our fields.  We realize some of you may have never met him, but we can all recognize what all his efforts brought to our program and where we are today as a football team, and as an successful academic IB school. We will let you know once arrangements have been made, but our hearts and thoughts go out to his family. Thank you Dr. Kelley for your unwavering support of our Eagle program. #EagleUP

    • I'll invite you to stay and participate as well. Your account of penalties is closer to my memory... the first two you mentioned I didn't see because I got there when East was attempting their two point conversion that tied the game at 8, and I didn't see the flag at the end of the half. We'll have to agree to disagree about the one sidedness, but I won't argue if you feel that way as a fan because Lord knows that I've been there. I also didn't attempt to diminish East's season or cast a negative light on their players, just that the officials were horrible.
