Just can’t put it together crow. They have all the tools to do it with. I know coach May gets it from all sides but the guy knows football. I just can’t put my finger on it.

I agree with this statement whole heartedly. Coach May does know ball, people want to throw shade on one guy and that just ain’t right. Does he have his faults? Yes, but there’s more than just one problem contributing to the Indians down fall.

Maybe so,but he is responsible for the whole shebang! If kids aren't getting developed and the team is not gradually improving IT IS HIS fault! From my side you all have gotten steadily worse since he took over.Am i wrong? You all are basically my second favorite HS team so I do keep up.

Well fellas. Been off of here for a while and just observing. I will say, SOMETHING NEEDS TO CHANGE.

Oneida football is a disastrous mess. The culture is not the same as it used to be and I know for sure that these boys are not playing the Oneida Football we used to play.

Maybe this guy we are all talking about would be a good HC if he didn’t have to worry about the play calling? You know, sometimes it’s good to have a Head Coach that just does the duties of HC. Let’s hire in a new OC and let this man be Head Coach. I’m not sure if he can handle both duties. I know most of our coaches in the past have handled doing more than one thing, but let’s change that.

If this is not possible, let’s just get him out. How much more has to be shown until we do something about it? Action needs to be taken and something needs to change. How do you go about firing a head coach? Give him no option.

Hands down this is one of the best teams that Oneida has seen in a long time. If not the best. We have athletes all across the field that are not being used. We need to change that. May knows football, he does. But you can’t keep running the same stuff over and over and expect the outcome to be different. It won’t be.

Who would Oneida look at for Head Coach? Any ideas? Would Tony Lambert bring that HARD NOSE back to Oneida?

We need a change and something has to be done about this. We need Oneida Football back, and we need it back now. This is the FIRST season that Oneida has not made the playoffs in almost 20 years! This is horrendous. If that doesn’t tell you what you need to hear, I don’t know what does.

I’m aggravated at the least fellas.

As always, GO BIG O!

We have felt your pain for 4 years now and it has almost ruined our program.Gonna take us alot of work to get close to normal. You all have the kids every year--No reason for this.

There is no reason for it.

Like I’ve said, we need a change. Not sure what else it takes to realize this program needs a change.

This is the most talent on a team that Oneida has seen in a VERY VERY long time. The players are there. Where’s the coach?

Completely different team from week 2 on. Injury had really affected this group. I agree things aren’t the best right now but it’s a day light and dark difference between now and then. Much worse yes.

I never said that. I said it has affected the team in a big way and it has. Look how many starters have been hurt and out. You can’t tell me that’s not an issue. All of the last few years Tony was there or almost all of them Coalfield beat Oneida pretty bad. This year was a close game with a very very talented Coalfield group. And you’re really gonna say Tony leaving was the reason . Doesn’t make sense, you’d think if that was the case maybe they would have played them a little closer no? Tony is a great guy and I’ve known him for forever, great coach, but him leaving isn’t the reason for Oneida “rapidly” going down hill. Oneida has had many cases of this up and down stuff.

See now I didn't say that I said since Tony left not because Tony left since Tony left.

    • Yeah, I don’t see that AC situation ending well. Let’s be real, AC is a super redneck school, always has been. Inner city boys and rednecks just don’t generally mix well, if you get my drift. Before it’s all said and done, there will be drama. As I’ve said before, people will sell their souls to win football games. It’s crazy.
    • Booger thinkin that it probably not unreal istical to be thinkin the TFP could be ones source..... Booger just sayin
    • Hard to believe that it’s two kids from The McCallie School, and one each from Dobyns Bennett and The Baylor School.  I really thought a couple of other kids would have made the podium this year.
    • I have said it many times before, Coach Phillips stated awhile back; "We coach players that want to be ROADRUNNERS!"  Even if they takes their lumps and bruises and its been bruises the last couple of years, they're still not going to recruit players.  If they stay, LETS GO!  If they leave, SEE YA LATER!  IT's HARD BEING A ROADRUNNER!     Fulton was tough back in the days when they won 3 titles, no argument there.   AC-  I think they beat Alcoa this year , Alcoa isn't all that and they will take their bumps and bruises this year. They won't cake walk 4A and I agree those parents will turn on the coach because they're playing outside kids
    • What I meant to say is, "They don't have to use MONEY or other things to get players to their program!"  Aren't very good?  1 State Title in School history speaks a lot , go figure!
