Sheriff you just be more in the know about this situation than anyone else lol. Let me just say I know plenty about our school system down here. Stay on your side of the county. Ask your cats why we are having to schedule private schools when we can’t get those kitty cats to play the herd!

Hook Em 🤘🏻

Have you looked at Oak Ridge's schedule? Nope AC ain't on there but neither are any private schools either.

I understand AC was contacted but they couldn't line up the right open dates to play.

From what I heard OR has a pretty good schedule, I think they will do fine.  No private schools. DB is back and I like that.

It is extremely hard to make a schedule. With bigger Districts, it’s more about finding teams that have the same dates open instead of playing the teams you want to play.

Yep.  The 7 and 8 team regions have completely changed the landscape of being able to schedule non region games.  With only 11 weeks possible it's not as easy to find common available dates as it used to be.

Plus, the reality is that you have to consider what the gate is likely to be.  Football is an expensive sport, plus it funds parts of many other sports for a lot of schools, too.

You're right. The issue is that Oak Ridge Teachers make about $10-12,000 more a year than teachers in Anderson County.

I heard the coaching stipend was more than that. But he is also getting a pretty decent one for being a MS coach. All in all it would’ve been a paycut. My guess is he would rather make more money being a MS guy than HS making a little less. Honestly I think that suits him best football wise. Never thought he would be a great hire. It’s not a good job to begin with and now you have a tougher region.

Lott less stress with similar pay. Not a hard decision for him. Don’t blame em a bit.
