Saw where unicoi beat Mitchell by 12.  Mitchell didn't lose any seniors last year and they have improved.  Especially Addison Gregory.  She's a big post that moves like a guard.  We also had trouble containing Southerland last night.  Our team definitely misses having an Izabella christman in the paint

Erwin played extremely sloppy. Had they not put Mitchell on the FT line 30+ times, it would have been much worse.

Tonight is an interesting matchup with NG and Cosby.  Imo, it's not a good matchup for Cosby.  I don't think they can contain Miller.  I think they'll score but I'm not convinced they can play good enough defense to get stops on NG.  I think the lady huskies will win by 10

It was a decent game. Still some sloppy turnovers from both sides. NG by 20

I knew it would be a tough matchup for Cosby.   We didn't have a point guard when we played them.  I'd love to have that game back.

I was looking at the unicoi schedule and Mitchell has the highest point total against the lady devils.  GP scored 67.  On another note, some big games tonight.  Washburn comes to unaka and south greene to Hampton.

Unaka is a different team with shields, shepherd, and the freshman Campbell.  They are capable of winning the region

Saw where Johnson County picked up their first win over WG.  Jc played us pretty tough for awhile before we blew the game open.

Tonight's matchup with coalfield was interesting.  The first half, coalfield stayed in a zone and didn't press. Street, shell, and Clawson had their way and we shut down their run-out.  We led 25-15.  The 2nd half,  coalfield went to a man and pressed.  We didn't really turn it over, but it got us out of rythm.  They started hitting some 3s and the point guard started getting to the rim.  We weren't able to answer them at the other end so they out scored us 35 to 17 in the second half.

A couple of big upsets last night.  Happy Valley over Sullivan east 41-38 and uh over Cherokee 51-50.  I'm in shock over these upsets.  Cherokee is young but talented with some girls who came from Rogersville city middle that won the state championship.  Sullivan east played Hampton a really close game.  We held hv to only 8 points at our place.  They have only 1 player who can dribble without turning it over.  My mind is blown.
