I might be eating crow this time tomorrow but I believe Blackmans defense will come ready to play tomorrow.  They looked good against Oakland, Ravenwood Brentwood and pretty solid against Riverdale first 3 qtrs. If they are firing on all cylinders on the defense it really will be a coin flip .  Taking Blaze by 3 a field goal.

Since there likely isn't any rain, GH won't be anywhere near as sloppy as they were last week. Blackman's only chance, really, is throwing the ball. GH has one of the best run defenses in the state. And if Blackman turns the ball over? It's gonna be lights out and quick.

WilCo teams, historically, have always had trouble with RuCo teams in the playoffs. It's just different ball down there that we're not used to up here. I think it's close, but Green Hill takes it by at least a touchdown. I just think they'll wear Blackman down.

Close in the first half, then pull away in the second.

Disregard everything I said. My goodness.

Maybe one of these years a Wilson County team will figure out Rutherford County, but not with the size of those players. Only so many things you can do to stop 6’4, 300+ pound men

When they're on, they can be a handful, ask Oakland and Ravenwood

    • Dead Period does not mean the fans can't talk about football. 59 days and counting to opening season kickoff for most teams. Also wanted to share a picture of Coach Ted Wilson who won State Championships at Maryville in 1970,76 & 78 on his 91st. birthday a couple of weeks ago with his kids a lot of us went to school with. Coach is wearing his Kingsport D-B jacket which I know a lot of their fans would enjoy seeing. .
    • Any thoughts on what you seen these past few weeks? Got to see several top teams as well as players and some who didn’t live up to the hype.  Some players of note. My personal observation was that Chelby Jordan was the best player I saw. Great skill set and great attitude, definitely should be getting more love as she was the best player on the floor every time. EB McDonald has taken a big step and should have a great year. Roberts girl from Grace continues to impress and they should be a tough out. Bartlett didn’t seem to be playing everyone, not sure if they’re injured but seemed to have 2-3 sitting the few days I saw them. Bradley Central isn’t the world beater they have been but definitely still good enough to win it with Kimora. Some of the private schools looked strong, PCA and Lipscomb well coached, Ensworth had some young talent but look lost at times.
    • They were missing 2, one being Chaffin. Johnson had hand surgery right after the state tournament. He was just released to play the day before BCAT started.
    • State tournament has nothing to do with Miss Basketball. It's a regular season award.
