86 Days until kickoff 2025. How in the world did we signup Cookeville, was there not a team closer to play as to drive 107 miles on a trip that is longer than the ballgame itself.

We scrimmaged them last year. Was a really good one. Personally I’m glad we are playing them. I love Crawdaddys.  And don’t get me started on Ralph’s Donuts :hungry:

There are some Middle TN programs that would be thrilled if 113 miles was the farthest they had to travel in a 2 year cycle

The Red Rebels will scrimmage Baylor again at home this year. And will also scrimmage DB at a neutral site. I haven’t heard the dates yet.

Baylor should have been the team to beat last year but somehow someway McCalie pulled it off. Most people in Chattanooga must have felt the same way because there wasn't anywhere near the record crowd from the year before. Looks like these two teams may be in the championship game for a while the way they both can reload like they do.

Until other schools can start boarding Canadians without restrictions then yeah they’ll keep playing each other

Word on the street our running back who should have been the starter has found a new home at Powell. Even though I back our coach 100% in any decisions he has to make I only hope this young man the very best and will be pulling for him to have a super year.

Next man up, if true.

    • Agree with most of this and add that it takes a "type A" personality to be successful as the top guy. Lots of folks are knowledgeable of the game, have the skills to co-ordinate scheduling, officials, duties, rosters, etc... What they lack is natural charisma and the innate ability to convince young men that they care for them, and what they're teaching them will make them successful if they contribute their effort. Football can be learned...leaders are born.
    • Understandable. I honestly couldn’t remember. When you lose your starting QB especially in high school it’s a big blow
    • Gotta keep it real here.  Nobody is twisting their arm making them coach football.  There are more high school football coaches around here than ever.  Schools that have the same enrollment today as they had 50 years ago have 5-6 coaches instead of two.  Every head coaching vacancy will get a flood of applications.  Well over 20 at West Carroll from what I read earlier in this thread.  There's more men getting into coaching each year than are getting out.  The fact is that there are far too many high school football coaches out there.  Like I said, just keeping it real.
    • Off the top of my head WV finished 3rd and RC finished 4th. I think both lost close games in the first round. Overall they were pretty evenly matched last year.
    • I’m gonna be tapped in for that Marion Co. game 🪶 🔥
