The TSSAA didn't like it back then, but we got a cool nickname out of the ordeal.

We will sure miss Price plus we lost his backup over team rules. Another big loss is Casey Cobble who was worth the price of admission alone at receiver. Picking up the kid from Bearden was a big plus but whichever position he fills there will be a void at the other unless the next man up brings on a big surprise.

He is but don't be surprised if Derek don't ututilize his speed in some of their plays as a back. It's a heavy loss at both positions losing that kind of talent. Those two were big play makers last year and they were the difference of going 9-1 versus 6-4. I think we'll have some younger players step up but we won't really know who they'll be until we see a scrimage or two. 63 days until opening day.

Dead Period does not mean the fans can't talk about football. 59 days and counting to opening season kickoff for most teams. Also wanted to share a picture of Coach Ted Wilson who won State Championships at Maryville in 1970,76 & 78 on his 91st. birthday a couple of weeks ago with his kids a lot of us went to school with. Coach is wearing his Kingsport D-B jacket which I know a lot of their fans would enjoy seeing.
