I’ve heard our baseball team got moved out of the best district in the State without our AD even trying to appeal or object. I can’t wait to go watch a big district game with Jeff County. SMH. I guess there will be plenty of available seats.
Will the football or basketball teams also be moved to weaker districts/regions?

Why complain about not having to face nationally ranked Farragut in your district or Hardin Valley.

I wouldn’t complain, Rebels now have a good chance to win a district title versus prior, it was near impossible.

Different points of view. It looks like we are running. It’s like alco winning all those 2A titles. HVA ain’t got a sport that Murvil should avoid.

I feel great about Maryville's team next year.

QB. Will Jones is a great one.

RB. Maryville is losing Price Davis but has Ory Vananda Walker and Cam Porter back.

TE. Maryville is losing Jonah Arms but has Hudson Jamerson and Mack Serr coming back.

OL. Maryville is losing Alex Boyd and Henry Chambers. Maryville has Brody Smith,Nash Stinnett and Nic Henderlight coming back. Also Landon Marcus had a start last year. He will be back.

WR. Maryville is losing Casey Cobble,Nolan White and Britton Barrett. Colton Foust is coming back. Need some guys to step up.

K/P. Hudson Jamerson and Mack Serr  are back as punter and kickers.

DL. Losing Jonah Arms and Zach Hample. Ryan Henry and Mack Serr are back.

LB. Losing Matthew Covert,Sayer McNeilly and David Crawford. Jaxon Rutledge will be back. One to watch for will be Dax Cole.

DB. Andrew Smith and Bryson Barret will be back. Need some to step up.

As many of us that couldn't watch the Oakland game on NFHS, I sent an email to them. This is what I just got from them

Our goal at the NFHS Network is to make sure you are there for every minute of the game and we are sorry that we did not meet that standard.

I have canceled your monthly subscription and processed a refund for your recent payment. You should see the refunded amount back in your account within the next 5-8 business days, depending on your bank.

Hey Gopats2019 , it doesn’t even matter if you’re Stork or not you’re still a big crybaby. Good luck to Oakland tomorrow , just 10 more State championships to catch up with Maryville

I’m not comparing state titles, pumpkin. I prefer to live in the present. 🤷‍♂️

    • Thankfully,  No Madden in his resume!   Fortunately this new hire, Greg Vandagriff, is pure “gridiron” football!   Work, sweat, get better everyday, outsmart Goliath when you must, but work, work, work.  Wompuscat, we don’t know each other, yet  but I have a strong feeling you are going to really, really like this new coach.  He’s a guy’s  guy and will navigate the Lakeway organizational chart like a good running back would.  He’ll look for the holes,  but I have a feeling he will not hesitate to plow over the toughest defense to reach the goal line.    Lakeway’s program is still in its infancy.  The dismal win loss history is normal in the early years.  Fortunately the stars are now aligning in Lakeway’s favor.    Coach Vandagriff has written a book titled, “The Power of the Patch”.  It’s his life story of rising  above a troublesome childhood and  becoming the father and man he always wanted in his life, but never had.   He gives all credit to his faith in God (instilled by his grandmother).  He credits his high school football coach with molding his character and work ethic.  The book is now available on Amazon.      I’ve read the book.  It’s a tearjerker, if you are a sentimental grandma.  Lakeway has been blessed to begin a new football chapter with a head football coach whose goals are aligned with the school’s.
    • Kirby was the only one offered, nobody else had a chance to turn it down.
    • Didn’t say we would win, we aren’t scared of competition like a lot of teams out west…. We called a lot of the big bad teams in west tn and none of them wanted to play. We filled our week 2 game with JP2 anyways.
    • No one knows what the schedule will be.  To assume 45 would be foolish.  My wife and I have a few friends who work at the high school and up until Friday they said he was going to meetings throughout the week.  He immediately went back to Covington.  His wife never moved.  This isn’t complicated
    • It’s not wide open. Noah Watkins will walk through the bracket.
