I think they need to look at changing the format of selecting players for the all star game. Pool all the players in East Tennessee and let the coaching staffs draft the players. Might equal out in talent as East Tennessee seems to have their way over Knox County.  Just a fun suggestion from someone that has no dog in the fight. I thought both teams brought the intensity. Player celebrations got a little old by the end of the game though but I get it players want to have fun. Game was too long. Play 10 minute quarters because of the commercials.  Maybe start the game at 730, I’m sure the 8 start time was for TV.

Other notes from the all-star game, QB from Gibbs can spin it, he made some nice throws, hope someone takes at look at him. Receiver from Knoxville #6 I think could have been #2, he has talent and good hands.  The PA guy was top notch, has a great voice, always gave ball carrier, tackler, yards gained, and down and distance and yard line the ball was on. Shocked this guy hasn’t  been offered a job on Saturday by some college. Very talented individual.  Plus he let you know the game was at Marry ville and not Marul ville. Nice touch on the enunciation.

I think Judkins does Maryville College also. He’s a Maryville City Schools teacher.

Ngl I think Alcoa v. Maryville at week 1 is dumb , why not put it at week 4 (September) like it always has been? Or put it late in the season?

Better wear some good deoderant because it will be packed like a sardine can and hotter than a door nob at a Ho House on nickel night.

That game opened the season for several years back in the early part of the 2000s, if memory serves.  

With 8 team regions beginning next season, available common dates aren't as easy to find when there were 5, maximum 6, schools in each region.
