The kid last year filled a similar to role to what Okpara fills for the Vols. And where would they be without him? I’m definitely not a basketball junkie, but it seems the other four guys need to understand the offense needs to go through the best scorer. Everybody is never the best scorer. Maybe it will just take them a little while longer to learn everyone’s roles. They are very talented for sure. Maybe the other teams have gotten better also? You’re right about Okpara. And yeah I’m hoping it’s just taking them a little longer to gel this year.

That guy had y’all’s girls being one of the top programs in the Knoxville area. Strange, indeed. Maybe to late for Coach West but not for any of the suvvivors that are left. It's a mental disorder that has got so far out of hand that 77 million people hit the voting booths in November to put someone in office to clean up this stupid nonsense.

Didn't see the game, but the Bearden game last week was a blood bath looking at the box score. I know Bearden is really good this year, but that game was never competitive. Anybody have any insight on the struggles? They decided to play team defense.

Just too much talent out there not to. For what it’s worth, it’s better to be struggling now than when the playoffs start up. I’ll be really surprised if they don’t get things going by then. Basketball is a sport of momentum. All it takes is a few good wins, and you can get on a roll. You just never can tell when you’re dealing with High School kids. As an OR fan, I’d rather see them be good any day than Bearden, but that’s just me. Wish them the best. Ole Sweets is a regular ole Notre Damus with these predictions. (With apologies to Stars). REBELRON
Maryville should be really good in Boys Basketball next year. They are mostly juniors.

I don’t know about the Maryville brethren but I ain’t sold on Lambert as a coach yet. Granted, they’re in the state tournament and can’t ask for much more than that, but how in the world do you lose 12 games with the talent Maryville has. They had us (OR) all but beaten and he slowed the game down for some strange reason. I thought he was really outcoached by Green in the 4th quarter of that game. Y’all may disagree, and that’s fine, but just my humble opinion. Now yall will probably turn around and win state, and I’ll look like a complete idiot, as usual. I’m not a brethren but here’s my two cents. I don’t like making excuses but we did deal with a lot of sickness this season. 55 didn’t play for nearly 4 weeks because of it so that might contribute to the 12 losses. I’m completely bought in on Wes and Randy has coached basketball longer than most of the opposing coaches have been alive. This is the first time in school history the boys have went back to back years to state. And as far as having solid role models for our boys, we couldn’t ask for better. Yeah, making state two years in a row is nothing to snuff at, for sure. Maybe I’m completely wrong. Ain’t the first time, and definitely won’t be the last. I just thought it was really strange to slow the game down against us, which totally played into our hands. But hey, I’m just a couch coach, and nobody is perfect obviously. As another couch coach, I have similar thoughts when I watch them. Also, I think AG at OR likely outcoaches most of his counterparts. However, rw is right. Sr and Jr arent too shabby either. It’s a tournament sport, and they are in the state tournament. A BIG part of coaching any successful team is getting and keeping the best players you can. The duo seems VERY good at that part. Murvil has very good players. I haven’t darkened the doors or gates at old 825 in a while (and don’t plan to), but I hear the new regime of coaches are an improvement from what was there before. I guess the results speak for themselves.
