Oakland throws it around more than they do in a usual year. With dry conditions in the forecast, I think they'll be able to keep Houston honest. Believe the skill players of both teams cancel each other out, the LOS and turnovers will determine who wins 6A

Trying to repeat at this level is very hard. I think Houston has proven they are here to stay as long as the current staff is there

Should be a heck of a game then. I don’t think the skill players cancel each other but that’s just my biased opinion. Maybe at the line. I haven’t seen this Oakland team tbh but I know the machine that they are. Houston doesn’t have a back like Sisa this year but they got some real playmakers outside and their QB is a baller who can sling it. They can run when they need to but they like to air it out more this year. If Oakland can minimize their big plays and force turnovers they got em. Big if.

Two things, Oakland was banged up against Ravenwood… and Houston won’t get lucky playing in the rain.

Good year for Oakland football.  Played well with personnel that had in each game and played every play like it was the last of the year.   Got them where they are at which is in the final.   Good job.  One more job for seniors to get done which is to get a win against a tough Houston team.   Lots of weapons and time to get it done.    Go Patriots!!

    • Hard to believe that it’s two kids from The McCallie School, and one each from Dobyns Bennett and The Baylor School.  I really thought a couple of other kids would have made the podium this year.
    • I have said it many times before, Coach Phillips stated awhile back; "We coach players that want to be ROADRUNNERS!"  Even if they takes their lumps and bruises and its been bruises the last couple of years, they're still not going to recruit players.  If they stay, LETS GO!  If they leave, SEE YA LATER!  IT's HARD BEING A ROADRUNNER!     Fulton was tough back in the days when they won 3 titles, no argument there.   AC-  I think they beat Alcoa this year , Alcoa isn't all that and they will take their bumps and bruises this year. They won't cake walk 4A and I agree those parents will turn on the coach because they're playing outside kids
    • What I meant to say is, "They don't have to use MONEY or other things to get players to their program!"  Aren't very good?  1 State Title in School history speaks a lot , go figure!
