How many of those other states are drawing under 5k for a title game? The Titans aren't a charity and just because our tax dollars go to the building of a stadium doesn't mean they should be expected to just take a loss every year. You wanna see their stadium? Take a tour like a normal person

To not be a charity they sure do have their hand out all the time. In return for the hundreds of millions of taxpayers' dollars they can host the state championships and lose a little money.

10 States currently play Championship games at NFL stadiums. Some of these states that I noticed that aren't worried about selling tickets are Nevada, New Jersey, Indiana, Michigan, and Massachusetts. The big dogs like Ohio, Louisiana, Georgia and Texas play in NFL stadiums as well. Money shouldn't be the reason for kids to experience this.

Now go check the attendance for each of those id be willing to bet they're drawing way more than TN does in a weekend.

The onus is on the TSSAA to make it worth their while, not the Titans.

I could see the State Championship Games played at the new Titans Stadium (the one with a dome) since the weather by championship week is usually rainy, cold, wet. Not sure about the semifinals, I think the T$$AA wants as much gate as they can get and playing at home schools may net more there now. Streaming and TV do cut into gates, once the weather goes cold.

Because it doesn't make the kind of money required for those organizations to get involved. Middle quit bidding on the BCB for a reason

Besides, who wants to see 2,000 people at stadium that can seat 75-100k? That just looks sad

Jerry World looks pretty empty with some of those state championship crowds in Texas. Bet the kids wouldnt want it anywhere else though.

With no more attendance than shows up at the state championship games they should be played at high school stadiums.  If the attendance numbers begin to grow again, then you can explore venues with more seating capacity.  As it is now no games will have attendance numbers of 5000 paid attendance.

We won a state championship at Loudon High School in 1970. That wasn't a bad drive.

Some states use neutral fields for semi-final games.

I went to a state championship with about 40,000 people in Tulsa, Oklahoma one year. Both teams were from Tulsa and it was at TU. The OSSAA uses something called cross bracketing. If you have a strong District/Region you can go farther in the playoffs without seeing some team from your District/Region.

The Titans are a business and the last time that I checked they are not in business to lose money.  Now if there is a legal way to write off the loss of hosting a state championship series then I could see the Titans being a host.  Otherwise, I would say absolutely no way and to be honest there is no reason to host less than 5000 people in a stadium designed for close to 75K.

I saw Red Rebels mention neutral sites for semifinal games, and personally, I would like to see neutral sites host semifinal and possibly quarterfinal playoff games in TN. Ohio does this for all playoff games after the 2nd round, and it works well. I doubt we'll ever see this in TN though.

I understand the financial reasons why the Blue Cross Bowl isn't in Nashville anymore, but with over a billion(!) dollars in public funding being allocated to finance the new Titans stadium, I would argue that the new stadium should host the championship games at some point.
