Mr. Villars,

Let me get this straight.  When you develop “relationships” with all these folks from other clubs and parts of the state, and then they show up at McCallie it is called building from the ground up.  But when a kid from a different club shows up at Baylor- it is bad.  Got it.

The truth of the matter is that McCallie was in a bad spot before you recruited all of your friends to join.  They were losing duals to CCS and turning off the scoreboard during the Baylor-McCallie match.  Now, as I have clearly stated- I commend you for doing the recruiting necessary to rebuild your beloved program.  Hope they gave you coach of the year honors over there last year.

I do stand corrected on the Brayden Ryan comment.  It turns out I had the wrong boarding student in mind.  I had to go back and check the records. It was Jed Pierce.  You know the boarding student you all recruited out of Atlanta who placed as a freshman?  But then you all recruited right over him and he had to sit the bench as a sophomore.  Just no loyalty over there.

The good news is that you are still the team to beat this year.  Father Ryan might get you, but I know you will have them coached up come state tournament.  As for working all summer: you are going to have to give me more details on that.  I follow TN wrestling closely, and I didn’t notice you guys anywhere this offseason. I didn’t see you on the freestyle circuit. Not much of a presence at southeast regionals or at Fargo.  I never see your coaching staff outside of the season.   The teams that seem to support offseason wrestling are Cleveland, Summit, Christian Brothers, and Baylor.  They send large cohorts of kids to Fargo and other offseason tournaments and their entire coaching staff travels with the team.  Maybe you all do this, and I am missing it.

As for your current neurotic fixation, I told you Baylor didn’t put Father Ryan on their schedule this year.  It was never on the schedule the school released back in September.  It is none of my business why. It is also none of your business why.   I assume that Baylor will wrestle them at the state duals, state tournament, and national preps.  How many times should they wrestle the same team/kids in the last month of the season?  Steve Logsdon would never wrestle Baylor and you know what: it wasn’t a big deal. It didn’t kill local wrestling.

It is like arguing with Otis Cambell…

Glad you did one research and proved me right  might find out I am right on a lot of other things!

Better research a lot more!!
I am done stating facts and debating someone with the mentality of Kamala and her lies and deceit !! Bad thing is, she believed her words too!!

It's funny how many on here seem to think they know exactly what goes on. For clarity....

Villers was the last to join us at McCallie. I called him and told him we weren't moving to California and that we were going to put Cooper in at McCallie. Jason didn't recruit anyone. Lane was already coming and I called Chris Williams. We filled out our forms THEN were contacted by the administration/coaches....legally. Not sure that is always the case at other schools but whatever.

Also, Jed is a baseball player that happened to have wrestled as a kid at LevelUp but had quit for a few years. He didn't even want to wrestle but you have to play a sport or club at McCallie. He was not "recruited".

Dylan was at Fargo and will be again. I'm certain Axel and Jaxon and maybe a few others will be as well this year. There was also large group of us that was at Super32 this fall

And come on man, Ryan was on the schedule. If they weren't, then why did they have to call and say...we aren't coming? HA. They may not have been on the schedule that you were sent over but they were in fact, scheduled. You don't cancel something that wasn't there to begin with.

And since we don't know who you are, we can at least surmise that you are over the age of 45 with your Otis Campbell reference. That's a start

Father Ryan was also on Baylors schedule on TSSAA and that is sent to TSSAA by the coaches, so I have no dog in this fight but Bob seems to be wrong a lot!

Check it again. I am right, and I appreciate you pointing that out.  It says they were scheduled to wrestle MBA at Father Ryan.  No mention of them wrestling Father Ryan.  They were scheduled to wrestle their region dual only and then go home.  You are the man for finding the evidence.  I didn't know they posted schedules on TSSAA.

You look like an idiot, it has BOTH Father Ryan AND MBA on the 10th. Maybe you need better reading comprehension

I see it as not having an opponent listed for the 5:50 start time.  I see MBA listed for 6:30.  They were going to dual them in 40min?   How come on Father Ryan's schedule it is listed at 5:50 and 7:30 for the next dual?   Is 5:50 actually when a dual starts?  What it looks like to me is that Baylor entered MBA at 6:30.   When Father Ryan entered their own schedule and listed Baylor, it automatically populated the TSSAA schedule for both schools.  The 5:50 start time doesn't line up to Baylor's website but the 6:30 MBA dual does.  I believe I am still right on this one.

You can believe whatever you want, but proof is in the pudding or in this case the schedule. Baylor sends their own schedule into TSSAA, it does not populate from anyone else’s. It’s a standalone system. So the schedule on TSSAA was sent by Baylor and no one else. So they themselves had them wrestling Father Ryan on Sat January 10th. If Baylor got that wrong themselves take it up with them, but in truth it looks like they dodged Father Ryan. Again I dislike private schools, so no dog in the hunt. I’m just going by the evidence that is out there that Baylor themselves had Father Ryan scheduled but backed out. Plain and simple.

I'll give you this, you aren't afraid to go down with a sinking ship. Goodness.

You said - "I see it as not having an opponent listed for the 5:50 start time" --  So does that mean that yesterday they drove to Signal and didn't wrestle anyone?

Bottomline.....they've got lineup issues they're still working out, injuries that need healed up and they're still mad about last years state dual match with Ryan. And AGAIN....they called and cancelled the match. You don't cancel something that isn't happening. Come on Bob. Its time to wave the flag and move on brother.
