Potential AA State Title Contenders

Alcoa, GP, Kingston and Tellico - it’s a shame only two can go but those sectional games will be amazing — from this side of the state in my opinion.

Kingston and Tellico play for the first time next week and I’m excited to see how they match up. They are both long, athletic,  press the whole game and run run run.

Aaron Layne (Kingston) and Rylan Woods (Tellico Plains) both could be 2A Mr. Basketball noms.

Loretto, Alcoa and brought to my attention pre season by another poster I’ll add Tellico Plains lol

Haven't seen much ball outside of Middle TN this year, but Loretto is definitely head and shoulders above everyone I've seen around here (especially since the football players have began to get into basketball form over the past month or so).

They're very athletic & very well coached.  They have a lot of size, 3 kids that will alternate as leading scorers, and several ball handlers.  If their big man stays out of foul trouble, they will be extremely hard for any AA team to beat based on their paint play and their aggressive but composed defensive pressure.

They are undefeated, won 2 tournaments, and just beat a good 5A Lawrence County team by 44 points.

Do they get any video coverage for their games?

Almost positive Tellico doesn’t, but I am not sure about Kingston video wise.

Both have pretty great radio teams but I know that does you no good, lol.

Ahh, shucks.

We're lucky in Lawrence County.  All of our schools have great video coverage.

Jackson County might make some noise this year. They are the best AA in the UpperCumberland area. Need to get a home substate game to get to the glass house. They move to Class A next year and will be loaded!

Have their boys made many trips to the glass house?  I know their girls used to be loaded every year for a while.
