What brought him back??

He was not informed during the hiring process that in the fall Paris was going to block system. He was going to loose his football period and was also told he would be teaching 4 classes all day. None of this was told when he was hired so he left

Interesting. I have asked people for details, but everyone I asked is being mum.

You being a long time Charger supporter, I'm curious how you think the kids will respond to Kirby leaving and coming back and do you know what the actual chance of the other Smith kid going to Munford? I heard that there was as many as 4 kids going to enroll at Munford next year.

They had said they were staying before Kirby announced he was coming back

So I'm expected to believe that he left a great situation for another job without asking any questions about what would be expected of him there??? Even just a rough outline such as class schedule, subject, etc...? Ridiculous. I guess that he had no idea of his salary either.

It's a good thing that absolutely nobody cares whether I'm buying that one or not, 'cause I'm definitely not.

    • Unfortunately the state is littered with well-intentioned people working games that have no idea what they are doing. Of course they mean well, and I know that these are volunteers, but part of the reason that athletics in Tennessee is slipping is because of the willingness to accept lower standards.
    • Someone with more direct information can tell me if this is inaccurate, but my understanding is that coaches and Athletic Directors were pretty much unanimous in their support for a shot clock but it was still tabled and will be at least two years before the conversation can come back up. And even then it would take a year or two to implement once approved.  I personally think it’s long overdue. And I am not saying the shot clock should be :24 but it should be enough to force a team to do something.  To me, the worst part of the delay is that fact that there’s no argument of substance for shot clocks to be delayed. More than anything else it is an argument about having qualified people to operate them.
