I watched stone more this year because Jack Cordell came from clarkrange and that's my stomping grounds. Cobb is way more athletic. I have never seen a player face the defense Capps does . it's a faceguard every night and a double/triple team if he drives. He is skilled enough to still produce. Last year Capps had great numbers all the way around and didn't win mr basketball which I thought he deserved. This year it could go Capps or Cobb or heck they may give to someone else. Cobb has won head to head so that may factor. Capps percentages are not as good as last year I don't think but the kid never gets an easy look in a game. it's crazy. Cobb has more playmakers around him and I think they win the state. The post for upperman are great. Cordell and Lowe are pretty good players but seem to get hesitant against teams like upperman and throw the ball back to Capps as soon as they get it. he was exhausted against upperman it looked like. When Cobb is a senior he will be the best to come out of the area. his athleticism and iq are hard to match. Hats off to both these players and cool to see 2 players like that in the upper Cumberland at the same time. wish them both well. Capps is a great player but does not seem to be the best teammate, especially in pressure situations. His body language is terrible when a someone makes a mistake or he misses a shot and is not bailed out by a whistle. Cobb seems to want to get others involved until it is time for him to step in and take the game over. Nothing against Capps, as he may just be that emotional of a player, but great ballplayers are also great teammates.

I have seen Cobb get very frustrated and get technicals and I think nothing of it. It's part of the game and competitive people do that at times. He is just as emotional as Cappsand has bad body lang sometimes. And I think Cobb is a great kid as well. I don't think k we should try to attack kids character that we don't know. Competitive athletes all get frustrated sometimes.. Jack Cordells dad ( capps teammates dad) tells people from clarkrange they really like Cade. I see him give lots of high fives and encouragement. And I have watched 10 games this year. Like I said earlier, Cobb is more athletic but Cade doesn't seem like a bad teammate to me at all. He is their best option to score and he may force sometimes trying to help his team win but that doesn't mean he is a bad teammate. seems to me his teammates all try to get him the ball. Crazy between the legs Dunk tonight by Thompson, figured you all would enjoy watching it. Arguably the best player to come out of Greeneville. ( Gillespie who is the starting PG for Maryland and him are the best two I’ve seen play for the Greene Devils) https://www.facebook.com/share/v/19xwuEv56c/?mibextid=wwXIfr impressive. I could see him winning mr basketball and it would be deserved. I didn't know all the offers he had until I researched after your post. wow, this kid is legit

Mainly to try and push him off the block because he is 9 inches taller than me and I was the strongest on the basketball team lol). He was a stud just think Gillespie and Thompson were better than him in High School. He has played a lot over seas and was the reason College of Charleston beat Davidson and Steph Curry with his block shot against Steph. Wiggins is definitely in my top 5 along with Marty Story and Braun Dabbs. That’s awesome. I don’t remember Marty Story but coached Dabbs on an ABA team. Wiggins was impressive to watch but it’s been a few years. LOL Gillespie and Thompson were/are incredible high school talents. I know Trey is a high priority for Tennessee! All state both basketball and baseball.Average 18 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists per game. By the way, 1st GHS Player to ever make 1st team Allstate basketball. He would only go to a school that would allow him to play both sports. Recruited heavily by Vanderbilt, Stetson and Furman. He chose Furman played both sports till an injury kept him from playing basketball his senior year. He was also drafted out of HS by the Washington Senators. After college played 2 or 3 years of baseball reaching triple A. I was a sophomore at Science Hill watching him play and was amazed by his skill level and athleticism. Marty was a AAA all state Wr and Basketball player his senior year and averaged 21 points his senior year taking Greeneville to the State Tournament in 1987 for the first time ever. He committed to play WR at Clemson but then transferred to ETSU were he played basketball from 88-92 when ETSU won 4 conference championships in a row and started his last 2 years there upsetting Arizona in the 92 March Madness Tournament when Arizona was the 3 seed and losing to runner up that year Michigan by 12 in round 2. Freakish Athlete but most Story’s around Greeneville are.

Sounds like a heck of an athlete and must have been being in the Greeneville Sports Hall of Fame. Just a little before my time to see highlights of him like I could Marty

Congrats to all. Thanks Knight. The typical suspects for 3A. I will support whoever gets it without a comment, as all three ballers are highly deserving of Mr. Basketball.
