Change at Harriman

If I were a betting man, I’d say they are going to hire someone in house , especially with the lack of teaching positions available

Do you have to teach there to be the head coach? I know some places have different rules on who can and who cannot be head coach, but per TSSAA rules, you do not.

Scott Meadows interviewed and is building already working on assistant coaching staff he has worked with before. He is retired from teaching and don’t require a teaching position.

He moves around a lot but he is a good coach he turned Sequoia and William Blount into winners that says a lot in its own LOL. To the worst programs in the state. He has retired twice so I don't think there's no longevity with him at all so in my opinion it's not a good hire.

So yall saying Meadows to Harriman?  That would be a darn good hire and the type of offense he runs will fit in well at Harriman but isn't he the AD at Halls?  Do you think he's going to leave when he just got to Halls for the 2nd time?

I thought he went back to Pigeon Forge and his retiring from there at the end of 2024. I believe you're thinking about Scott cummings.

My bad I just realized who I said...... Cummings would be good at Harriman.  But yea, Meadows move around too much..

Easy to do Turtle, they both have been at several schools and done well at most of them and their first name is Scott. Meadows was actually a very good player for Rockwood when he was in high school so I'm pretty sure he would fit very well at Harriman if he is in deed who gets the job.

Wow, I did not know that.  Well, with that said, I think Meadows will get the job even though he went to Rockwood.

    • School choice and access to extra curricular activities when you decide which school to send your child seems fair. There has to be some guardrails for extra curricular activities. A one time transfer rule with no restrictions would be a great middle ground for everyone. I would not be for unlimited transfer and maintain extra curricular activities eligibility. I would be for a one time transfer prior to beginning your junior year of high school.
