New leadership in place, uproar dying down, looks like the school will continue.

What about the illegal kids they just let play in the tournament last week? It affected grades 9-12 chances are very high that some of those players were taught by people not qualified by the state of TN.
That’s going to catch up to them sooner rather than later, surprised it hasn’t yet honestly since graduation is coming quick!

What a joke. The Trezevant of Chattanooga. Put on your clown face TSSAA.

Someone will force their hand surely, this needs to be thoroughly investigated and acted upon if it’s as bad as I’ve read! Seems like to me they are trying to sweep it under the rug which shouldn’t be allowed by the new administration, if anything give them a postseason ban for a year or two and acknowledge they made mistakes. TSSAA promotes being a student-athlete first and foremost it is even in some of their mission statements! If they don’t act on this what kind of precedent are they setting for future student-athletes that do it the correct way? Sad day if they get away with it, but I called this a couple days after last years tourney that they were going to repeat that didn’t surprise me I knew it was coming. The thing that did surprise me was the coach thing and the teaching situation, they even weren’t even catering to their special needs students in an article I found from March 4th. Best believe the basketball team was always taken care of with top of the line everything. It’s definitely a front for athletics and how they aren’t getting in hot water after being exposed is beyond me. It’s going to have to take the right person or group of people to fix it!

TSSAA's excuse will be that only athletics fall under their umbrella of control. Never mind that prior to the beginning of the tournament, the Department of Education that Cheat Perp is controlled by "outed" the fact that assigned grades weren't (couldn't possibly be) posted correctly, because most of the teachers lacked the certification to teach the course. That rule is pretty straightforward and simple...no grades=no play. Players with no grades playing in a specific game=forfeiture of that game.

A similar incident happened in Memphis...clerks quit, some administrators fired, some quit before they could be prosecuted, and I think one may have even went to jail. Basically, nothing was done by TSSAA though, the kids and coach moved on like nothing happened.

Now that it's out there and Cheat Perp says "we've got this fixed", it's as likely as not that TSSAA will not even acknowledge that it happened.

If that's the case, someone should file suit and turn it over to an authority that will at least try to resolve something that should never have happened. Not saying that any team should be awarded the gold ball, but the team that shouldn't have been playing needs to pay the penance.

problem may end up being getting an Authority that won't be easilly swayed/bought off to drop it... then what do you do... take them to court(good luck with that as i know a lot of lawyers would look at this and go "what monatary damages are there, none, nope don't want it), sadly i think they're gonna get away with this no matter what everyone does, and even if they're forced to forfeit... it's gonna change nothing and the TSSAA is just gonna go "moving on"

Well looks like the waters running ice cold down to Choo Choo City. Everybody's forgotten about this mess.

We all know T$$AA is too chickensh*t to do anything it would take a lengthy process and Investigation, they don’t want this to look bad on them. Which IMO it’s already gotten to a point where they should have acted if illegal players were played. They are supposed to have all the student-athletes best interest in mind, tough break and unforgivable ending for the schools that did it the right way. Maybe this instance will keep it from happening again, but then again the powers that be didn’t even give them a postseason ban or even a slap on the wrist after the facts came out and that there were that many violations by a school is beyond laziness.
