Change at Oneida after 2025

Recommended Posts

Pretty good topic here, only time will tell. I’m also interested in why they didn’t conduct a real search. Seems a little odd to me. I’ve also heard of some players transferring. College has turned into the nfl and now I believe HS is turning into to college with kids being able to transfer wherever they want. How do you all think Jimmy will take this season? Do we think he will grow a pair and run stuff a little different so we can get some wins? :popcorneater:

Multiple kids have either quit or transferred by this point. Oneida still has enough to win however. But, I’m also hearing some news of even more possibly transferring to various places.

Oneida is a toxic place right now. This is not the 70's 80's 90's oneida.

Oneida right now is a wreck. I talked to one of my buddies who is very close in the program, multiple kids have either quit or even transferred. The number is truly astronomical. These things cannot now be changed.

Oneida can win this year if they try to. Despite all detriment to the team, which had been quite hefty I must say, they can do it. But, for that to happen, things have to be different than last year in almost every aspect. If the Indians continue to do the same stuff, it will be another 5-5 season or maybe 6-4.

I’d say 6-4 is the ceiling looking at the schedule. I’d probably put the win O/U at 4.5 and smash the under honestly.

Only time will tell. The wins can be high but stuff has to be different, we’ll see.

Which do you see as winnable? Sure technically any given Friday, I get it, but which ones seem like they’d have any real probability of a likely win?

Let Bill Elliott run the defense and he'll lap the field under green :roflol:

Some teams that Oneida hasn’t played in a while like Sweetwater I think are definitely winnable games. But like I said, only time will tell.

    • Yeah, I don’t see that AC situation ending well. Let’s be real, AC is a super redneck school, always has been. Inner city boys and rednecks just don’t generally mix well, if you get my drift. Before it’s all said and done, there will be drama. As I’ve said before, people will sell their souls to win football games. It’s crazy.
    • Booger thinkin that it probably not unreal istical to be thinkin the TFP could be ones source..... Booger just sayin
    • Hard to believe that it’s two kids from The McCallie School, and one each from Dobyns Bennett and The Baylor School.  I really thought a couple of other kids would have made the podium this year.
    • I have said it many times before, Coach Phillips stated awhile back; "We coach players that want to be ROADRUNNERS!"  Even if they takes their lumps and bruises and its been bruises the last couple of years, they're still not going to recruit players.  If they stay, LETS GO!  If they leave, SEE YA LATER!  IT's HARD BEING A ROADRUNNER!     Fulton was tough back in the days when they won 3 titles, no argument there.   AC-  I think they beat Alcoa this year , Alcoa isn't all that and they will take their bumps and bruises this year. They won't cake walk 4A and I agree those parents will turn on the coach because they're playing outside kids
    • What I meant to say is, "They don't have to use MONEY or other things to get players to their program!"  Aren't very good?  1 State Title in School history speaks a lot , go figure!
