Meigs County Football 2025

I seen we have a scrimmage against East Ridge coming up in a few weeks. I hope to be able to gauge the team a little. I'm curious to see if #1 will move to the RB position and if our qb will stay where he's at at well. Our current qb would make a great RB if we had someone else to pitch the ball some. Anyone know how many starters we have returning?

4 on defense. 1 on offense, 2 if you count tight ends as our starting 11.

Should be about as good as last year on paper and hopefully better.I look forward to seeing them play this year. Appreciate the info.

Looks like our first three games will be some tough competition. We are predicted to win against 1A Chattanooga prep and expected to lose the next two games against 5A East Hamilton and 2A York Institute. I've looked at Yorks schedule and they will have had the hardest schedule I've seen in a while for a 2A team. They will either be battle tested end of season or playing the water boys due to everyone being hurt.

The Chattanooga Prep team played Boyd Buchanan much closer than I would have thought on last years schedule, so I expect that to be a hard game for us as well if we can pull it out.

These predictions are Massey's and not mine just a fyi.

I’m really excited for year two in the system for Ricker, and the weapons on the outside are ridiculous. We all know what he can do on the ground, but if he can mature as a passer with Mow, Combs and Goines out there, the offense can take a real leap.

Meigs Tigers will dominate East Pioneers. I guarantee it. It will happen. Does anyone want to bet me? I am Captain Guru and I approve this message.

I agree with you. Last years glaring weakness was a double edged sword. Defenses played up on the ball on us because they knew we didn't have the long ball capability. Often times we were picked off trying to pass further than 20 yards. The majority of the teams we faced last year knew this and we still had success scoring in most games. Going 9-4 and playing Sequatchie well in the third round was quite an accomplishment considering.

    • Read an article today where Anderson County got a Beerden transfer. Davy Boy Gillum is really selling his soul to try to get his daddy ball son a few wins.
    • They’ve got the old Big East conference back together. The only thing that conference was known for is beating up on the upper east TN directional schools then coming down to Knoxville and getting beat in the first or second round of the playoffs.
    • Poor Ray Co, they may never be relevant again after Power I Pemberton left. The Andy Kelly’s of the world ain’t going to Ray Co anymore.
    • Sad that backwards Campbell Soup County ran off the best coach in their history because this wife was black.  It’s ok to have a gigantic sex shop with places to have sex in the open, but they draw the line at whites marrying blacks.
