A ladies college team couldn't win many high school boys regions. They would have trouble qualifying for state in most divisions.

Not in Tennessee 😂 idk why y’all think Tennessee HS hoops is a gauntlet, shoot not anymore, the teams today are NOTHING compared to what we had 6,7,8 years ago 😂 I seen the best teams in the state choke as soon as they got to an college arena, most these kids can’t shoot from the college 3 point line

Haha such a difference in men and women. Uconn would get lit up by the best teams in this state. For example Paige Bueckers the number 1 overall pick is 6 feet 135 lol she would struggle to even get the ball up the floor and get a shot off against even top Midstate guards like Pearson, Sanderson, Cobb, Blevins, O’neal. Could go on and on. Like a yorkie to a pitbull. Such a serious margin in athleticism and size. They would all average 40+ points a game in womens CBB. Imagine Solongo at Ensworth 7 feet 280 against these 6’ 2-3” women's post players. 🤦‍♂️

I went to three uconn women's practices back in the fall. They could not beat any of the boys state champions from d2 and AAAA.

Facts. Wouldnt beat hardly anybody in the glass house down to AAA participants. Hume Fogg lost in the 1st round. They play nothing but 6’4’’ - 6’6’’ guys with 35 inch max verticals and elite speed. Those poor ladies would be so overwhelmed lol

UCONN and many other women's teams have male practice/scout teams.

UCONN would win most years. This year, they would beat every team in TN.

Have you looked into those practice teams, that also routinely beat them? One of the primary players on that squad is a kid from a school in Connecticut that only won 9 games his senior year and wasn’t even ranked in the top 100 schools in the state.

They also have rules for the male practice squad players about what they can and can’t do, some of them aren’t allowed to jump to block shots, you’re not allowed to make certain types of physical plays, etc.

Bartlett didn’t even make the state tournament and they would dominate them in a real game.

I went to Geno's coaching clinic back in the fall. I total agree with you. Back in 2018, I went to a UCLA women's practice and watched them scrimmage the male practice players. It was 18-0 before the women scored

Careful...the experts on here will post laughing emojis if they bother to even look at this thread again!

I was surfing YouTube earlier and saw the USWNT soccer team beaten 12-0 in a scrimmage about a month before winning the World Cup. The scrimmage was against a male European team of 16 year olds.

Dawn Staley said after they won the national championship last year that her male practice players were the only team to beat them all year. These are dudes who aren't good enough to play D1 basketball. PCA has 3 D1 prospects on their team this year. They beat UCONN and the game probably wouldn't be close

    • Dead Period does not mean the fans can't talk about football. 59 days and counting to opening season kickoff for most teams. Also wanted to share a picture of Coach Ted Wilson who won State Championships at Maryville in 1970,76 & 78 on his 91st. birthday a couple of weeks ago with his kids a lot of us went to school with. Coach is wearing his Kingsport D-B jacket which I know a lot of their fans would enjoy seeing. .
    • Any thoughts on what you seen these past few weeks? Got to see several top teams as well as players and some who didn’t live up to the hype.  Some players of note. My personal observation was that Chelby Jordan was the best player I saw. Great skill set and great attitude, definitely should be getting more love as she was the best player on the floor every time. EB McDonald has taken a big step and should have a great year. Roberts girl from Grace continues to impress and they should be a tough out. Bartlett didn’t seem to be playing everyone, not sure if they’re injured but seemed to have 2-3 sitting the few days I saw them. Bradley Central isn’t the world beater they have been but definitely still good enough to win it with Kimora. Some of the private schools looked strong, PCA and Lipscomb well coached, Ensworth had some young talent but look lost at times.
    • They were missing 2, one being Chaffin. Johnson had hand surgery right after the state tournament. He was just released to play the day before BCAT started.
    • State tournament has nothing to do with Miss Basketball. It's a regular season award.
