New prediction  Foster Head and O C and Hogg takes defense over !This may be the easiest route and transition for the kids!We shall see I believe interviews will conclude this week!Go Warriors!Foster is passionate and works hard no one can doubt that!

It's the easy & cheap thing to do... That's what White Co does.

I think the disappointing thing for this job is no big time names applied like a lot of people thought. Several applicants but no head coaches, only assistants trying to get there. You gotta start somewhere though. You seem to be pretty spot on with what others have said, admin will take the "cheap" and "easy" route just to fill the position. I'm still surprised it's taking so long to start interviews and get someone hired.

Not disappointing.. A lot of the guys like Hughes and Loftis are comfortable in their positions they are in now. Monterey has always been a consistent 7+ win team, with Hughes and Loftis's son will be a sophomore this year and potentially the starting QB for a Jackson County team that could be sneaky good this year, having only lost two starters from last year's team. Rap has it made at Cumberland County, no pressure to win. He could go 1-9 or 9-1, and nobody would think differently..

Seems like they are taking the route that Livingston Academy took.. Hire the guy in the building and already been on staff because of either a lack of teaching jobs or because it is the easy thing to do.

Guys like Caine, Hennigan, Samber, Lamb, etc have it made where they are at also.. Schools are just gonna have to take chances and hire assistant coaches. Can't get experience without giving someone the chance first.

That's why I said, these assistant coaches have to start somewhere. Putting their neck out there for a HC position is the only way to do that. I'd say some parents are happy at the end of the day that Loftis didn't apply with his son being a QB. Once again, Hughes was smart enough not to apply, too many parents involved for him and he's got it made in Monterey. Just like @secretagentman said, names being thrown out aren't what the parent crew wanted to hear. You can say it's not disappointing but I also know some of their parents went to powers at be and called coaches to get them to apply, Foster was not one of those names being thrown around. I know this could be for alot of different reasons but athletics at WC right now is spiraling downward. Maybe they can get things back on track sooner than later.

Warrior faithful don’t to get to discouraged on the possibility of hiring a top assistant from a successful program if that's what ends up happening. Creasy was Oaklands 3rd Choice and he didn’t let that slow him down any. I think it worked out for Oakland pretty well. There’s a lot of great assistants that’s just waiting for their opportunity.

Aren't you guys looking for multiple coaches right now?

football head, football assistants, volleyball head, volleyball assistants, track, golf and surely to goodness baseball head too.

Am I missing something? I sure wouldn't consider that spiraling upward! That's not a shot at your athletes and even mentioned in a previous post that these openings happen for different reasons. I've just never heard of White County being in such a position for coaching turnovers.

Your girls basketball had a heck of a year and should again this next year. I hope you guys do bring in someone good for football. I've enjoyed the rivalry over that past couple of years that's been created between the bees and the warriors!

    • Read an article today where Anderson County got a Beerden transfer. Davy Boy Gillum is really selling his soul to try to get his daddy ball son a few wins.
    • They’ve got the old Big East conference back together. The only thing that conference was known for is beating up on the upper east TN directional schools then coming down to Knoxville and getting beat in the first or second round of the playoffs.
    • Poor Ray Co, they may never be relevant again after Power I Pemberton left. The Andy Kelly’s of the world ain’t going to Ray Co anymore.
    • Sad that backwards Campbell Soup County ran off the best coach in their history because this wife was black.  It’s ok to have a gigantic sex shop with places to have sex in the open, but they draw the line at whites marrying blacks.
