HC opening @ South Fulton

I really expected Garmon to get this job.  I wonder what kind of offense Clanton will run over there.  Does SF have the personnel to run what he's been coordinating.

 UC did go to a more spread scheme this past season but i’m with you . . maybe they can keep Garmon around but he’s definitely a name to watch out for in the future for better openings.

They did spread it out a little more, but they ran the same stuff.  I watched several of their games, and the only time they really opened it up was against teams they were already beating badly.  It's easy to throw it when you have nothing to lose, but when the games were close, they stuck to the bread and butter, which i don't blame them for.

Yeah, from the games I saw UC went from under center to the gun running the Gun T this past year but ran the exact same offense from this. I'm not sure what to expect out of this hire, I also thought Garmon would get this job. With an offensive minded HC coming in will he even want to stick around and take a potentially lesser role?

That’s my concern as well. As a former player parent all the kids absolutely love Coach Quay. Hopefully they jive good together. Good things are coming for Coach Quay weather it be at SF or not. For our sake, I hope he sticks it out and makes the best out of this. I think it’s a solid hire, everyone just has to buy in to him which I don’t think will be a problem.
