Who is going deep into the playoffs this year? This is who I have:

1) Sevier Co - loaded
2) Powell - always good
3) Page - they lost a lot
4) Henry Co - rebound year
5) Shelbyville

Who am I missing? Who am I pumping too much? Biggest surprise team this year?

Definitely Powell and SC. They are basically on a collision course to meet late in the playoffs. Powell had ‘em beat last year and had a colossal meltdown late in the 4th.

Do both teams have a lot coming back, or are they just reloading?

Nobody's talking Knox West, is that because of the coaching circus going on?

I think so.

If they bring Brown back they are in the conversation. Only other way I see them as contenders would be to convince Cummings to leave Halls and take over. I don’t see that happening. Regrouping and recovering this year with an interim coach if they lose Brown.

Don’t sleep on the Red Devils though! Halls might have it this year.

Ghost of 1986??           I remember that 86 playoff game against DB, they played in the ETSU mini-dome.  DB had a really good team that year but Halls was on another level.

Halls will be at best 3rd in the region if they can beat central

Hendersonville might have the toughest schedule come end of year

Lot of big names and lot of teams that are gunning for the commandos

@Gallatin

smyrna

page

@rossview

hunters lane

@portland

summit

station camp

@shelbyville

@beech

rivalry mixed in with some teams wanting to get back for last year or even teams that are rolling  in 5A and 6A

Gallatin Portland sC and beech with page and Shelbyville and Smyrna and summit

cant wait for the season and to get into the region talk

Page lost a lot but they did get some off-season transfers who can be help for them on offense.

Shelbyville is 6A.

Page, Beech, Henry Co in the west. In the east - Sevier, Powell, Maybe Tullahoma/ Lincoln or Walker Valley as sleepers.

They picked up 2 good ones from us who were solid in 2A. We'll see what they look like in 5A but our 2024 transfer was a handful for DII-AA and a playmaker for BGA.

    • The down year for SP was last year, when their whole team was young and they graduated a bunch of seniors from 2023, this year they’ll be back to hoisting gold, literally a normal day for them
    • Thanks to Jones, u do have to develop these guys at some point, and bringing in Chaz doesn’t do anything but push Gibbs and potentially Johnston to the bench..
    • Exactly, I’m pretty sure he’s the same guy to slander KC for bringing in transfers but this guy has recruited an all star team with underclassmen and all of a sudden he’s the “best in the state” he’s gonna have to prove it
    • Sounds like this league will be Maryville and then everyone else. Ole Test Proctor Rang will find a way to screw it up.    Beerden lost everyone on their team expect the white kids that can't play dead in a western. Bumbling Brad thought he could keep all of crick neck’s criminals by being the HC, but that didn’t work out at all.    Bradlee might be okay by their standards after getting a couple Cleevland transfers, but Dummy Damon will find a way to lose some he shouldn't.     Cleevland lost Trick Play Tygard won't be relevant unless Loan Shark Jones gives more too football than wrestling. Back to irrelevancy again for the Bum Blue Rayders   Fairygut(aka Knox Catholic's AAA affiliate), good lord what a train wreck this is becoming. Holier Than Though's boy is in WAY over his head. They're lucky HVA and Beerden are in this league.    Hardin Vallee, this school hasn't been relevant and never will be. They can't seem to get out of their own way. Ole Egghead will be lucky if he has one game that isn't a running clock, unfortunately it's 30 instead of 35 now.    Merrieville has been the surprise of the offseason. It looks like Dooright Derek went rogue and sold his soul to the devil to get players. If what I've hear is true, it's a BIG departure from the old Rebels. Funny how things happen when you're feeling pressure. I guess this house flipping and contraction companies are supporting his recruiting habit.     Choke Ridge, need I say more  the name rings truer today than ever with old Test Proctor Rang at the helm. By virtue of talent, they should finish 2nd in this region, but I'm sure they will screw it up     My prediction: 1) Merrieville 2) Bradlee 3) Choke Ridge 4) Cleeveland 5) Fairygut 6) Beerden 7)Hardin Vallee
