Waverly vs. Cheatham Co. REMATCH!!

yes bubba was very sick and out of it all day but that isn't the only reason waverly lost tonight the whole team seemed to be out of it. bubba is a major part of the team and with out him at 100% waverly isn't as good. maybe they will meet again with nichols at 100%

I thought chaetam would keep it close but hey they won so congrats to coach jackson and the rest of the cubs and keep up the good work. Sry bubbe was feeling bad alot of players on our team are having the same problems. I guess we have to look for more upsets now that cheatam has swept waverly this season and dont count them out of any ball game!

The fact of the matter is that Cheatham has outplayed Waverly twice this year. Waverly might have had bad games but the cubs defence has had something to do with that. I am sorry the Bubba had the flu but I don't buy that is the only reason they lost. Waverly is not a one man team and there are many players that play great when they are under the weather. The cubs have beat other good teams this year. In my opion coach Jackson is the coach of the year at this point in the season. He and his staff have turn around a team that was 1-27 and has now won 8 and lost 11. I know that some fans and coaches still don't want to give the cubs any respect but that is fine. They like being the underdogs. So far it is paing off.

I'm sure the team and coaching staff at Waverly are tired of people making excuses for them. Bubba Nichols is a great high school basketball player, but this is a team game. Unless he was sick on January 10th, Bubba being sick should not be an issue with this game. Cheatham County's defensive play has been very good recently and that is the biggest reason for thier success. They shot 33% from the field against Waverly and were still able to win by ten. And lets remember that great players can play sick. MJ scored 64 in a game when he was sick. Simply put, the lack of respect that Cheatham County is getting is fuel on the fire. They hear the talk and it is motivation for them. For thier sake, please continue providing the high quality bulletin board material. Hats off to Noel Smith and the scrappy Cheatham County defense.

I AGREE WITH THE LAST TWO POSTS. WAVERLY HAS TRIED TO BECOAME A ONE MAN TEAM AND NO TEAM CAN BE SUCCESSFUL BY DOING THAT. THEY NEED TO USE ALL FIVE MEN ON THE COURT AND NOT JUST DEPEND ON ONE PLAYER TO SCORE ALL THEIR POINTS.

coach jackson should be the coach of the year and is highly under rated. He is an excellent scouter and motivator and he knows his stuff. Keep up the good work!
