tmom, when yoiu find a picture that you like, right click on it and go to properties at the bottom of the box that opens. Click on properties and a new box opens, you will see the about the middle of the box the URL address. Highlight that entire address and copy it. Now go to your signature section, click img and paste that address to address bar that pops up. Click ok and you will be rocking.

tmom, when yoiu find a picture that you like, right click on it and go to properties at the bottom of the box that opens.  Click on properties and a new box opens, you will see the about the middle of the box the URL address.  Highlight that entire address and copy it.  Now go to your signature section, click img and paste that address to address bar that pops up.  Click ok and you will be rocking.

You might want to make sure that the url you are copying is on your own server space.

Otherwise, it is stealing bandwidth and considered very bad internet behavior to do so.

For example, the site that the football came from has a specific statement, telling you not to do it.

How do I save the animations ?

To use the graphics in your web site or intranet simply right click on the graphic you want (once it is completely loaded) and select SAVE IMAGE AS or SAVE PICTURE AS. Choose a directory and press SAVE. It will then be on your hard drive free for you to upload to the location of your website.

What is 'direct linking' ?

This is the practice of copying the URL (address) of the GIF (animation) and pasting the URL into another website, guest book, forum, chat room, or other online entity.

Is there anything wrong with 'direct linking' ?

Well...yes. Every file requested from this site costs bandwidth and bandwidth costs money. Where ever possible please save the GIF using the instructions above and upload the GIF to the location of the HTML pages requesting them.
