I know that this is a little off topic for this board, but a feller don't get toys too often! Ordered a couple of ex-British sniper barrels in .308 and they came today. Just gotta screw one of these puppies onto a sweet little Brno '98 mauser action.... and well.... I'm looking whitetail hole punching in the face! Just have to find a use for that other barrel.... hmmmm.... what to do...what to do.... :P

I would like to know too. I have a rifle stock I need to get refinished. I allowed a friend to use it and when he finally brought it back a month later it was rusted and the stock and handle was scared real bad. By the way, he is now a former friend.

ie3, you can borrow my wife for target practice :D:D:):):D

Time2Play. The guy in Brush Creek did a good job on my cousins moose gun. It's a rechambered '06 to Norma Mag. It has more gun smith marks than a Dalmation has spots. It looked like someone used it for a boat anchor. It came back a show piece. I don't think my cousin has fired it, since. Just as well. Thats a hunters tool for use on that old 14 pointer that stands out about 400yds and watches you. There aren't many of those old and wise bucks around anymore. Besides, too many houses are going up. All that hammering is spooking the herds away. They are moving into the city limits, where people are building on five acre lots. There are plenty of flower beds and garden plots to nibble on, and no firearm discharges allowed.

TIME2PLAY AND JIMBO

this is the guy I will be using fred at low-tech gunsmith

He comes exceedingly highly recommended, especially for his mauser work. Now, if you want a showpiece, Herb Riley up in Jonesboro is a past master. Course the last one I saw with his name on it had a $5000 price tag. He does cheaper work, but he's like most artists (yes, it is art) he's pretty temperamental. The link above is a guy in South Carolina that the folks on all the gunboards really like.

    • Hard to believe that it’s two kids from The McCallie School, and one each from Dobyns Bennett and The Baylor School.  I really thought a couple of other kids would have made the podium this year.
    • I have said it many times before, Coach Phillips stated awhile back; "We coach players that want to be ROADRUNNERS!"  Even if they takes their lumps and bruises and its been bruises the last couple of years, they're still not going to recruit players.  If they stay, LETS GO!  If they leave, SEE YA LATER!  IT's HARD BEING A ROADRUNNER!     Fulton was tough back in the days when they won 3 titles, no argument there.   AC-  I think they beat Alcoa this year , Alcoa isn't all that and they will take their bumps and bruises this year. They won't cake walk 4A and I agree those parents will turn on the coach because they're playing outside kids
    • What I meant to say is, "They don't have to use MONEY or other things to get players to their program!"  Aren't very good?  1 State Title in School history speaks a lot , go figure!
