TrackandCross
Is anyone going to go to this race I Know Bradley is, and Mcminn talked about going too. Edited August 4, 2003 by TrackandCross
CherokeeChief
McMinn won't be there. The Cherokees won't race again until September 13 at UTC. Mike, Chris, and Michael ran well at Pigeon Forge last night. We've got six weeks until we open.
TrackandCross
How did they do? What were there times?
CherokeeChief
Mike ran 27:18, Michael 27:4?, Chris 28:56, Suhmer 29:?, our five was low 31's. Last year Tray ran 27:54 I believe, so Mike and Michael appear to be ahead. Suhmer and Mike had two pretty tough days mixed into the mileage this week, and it wiped Suhmer out pretty badly. That goes to show where Mike is right now also. He's going to definitely be one to watch this year. He went through three in about 15:50 trying to hold some back for the last two miles. runnerboy
This is Michael. I ran 27:50.. I was in no mans land for about the last mile and my 3 mile split was too slow (16:36). All I can say is that Mike is a freaking beast and there is no telling what he will be able to run. The rest of us should break through sooner or later. CherokeeChief
Honestly, they're way ahead of where I thought they'd be. The times in the 8k don't really reflect what we did in the three weeks before the race. I thought we'd be much more fatigued, or at least look that way. Thanks for the kind words. See you soon at the races.

MustangRunning
I talked to Chad V. from front runner in Chattanooga and he said that he would bring his trailer up and have training shoes, spikes and exc. so if you need new running gear that would be a good time to get it
