FHSrebel27
In the headline matchup of the night, Franklin rolls to a victory over the Bruins 14-0. Take this with a grain of salt though- Franklin's starters didn't even dress out. However, that being said, I'm now confident that Matt Solima has a very capable backup in Daniel Vosberg. Threw several very nice balls tonight. He took it in from a couple yards out for the game's first score. Jon Bell would add the extra point. Franklin's defense would hold the Bruins, and also came up with two or three INTs. Randall burns then would carry the ball 58 yards into the endzone for the other score in the game. If this is any indication.... no, nevermind. It's not. GO REBELS!
muffin
Brentwood starters must not have dressed out either.
FHSrebel27
Naturally they didn't...
boneal52
Randall Burns is FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAST. Wow. That kid was smoking on that TD run.
itzme
Naturally they didn't... So does that mean Welch will not be the starter at QB for BHS? I hear McCurdy has looked pretty good.
FHSrebel27
Is Welch who they played? Brentwood was on offense so little that I didn't even really notice who they had out there... I just kinda assumed.

FHSrebel27
Thanks CoachT... I was just about to post it myself. I find it very interesting that Brentwood only held out "some" key players while we held out all of our starters. It's really easy to want to read something into that and the results then... but I will not. Van Horne didn't play. Fugate didn't play. Those two alone could have made a difference. FBall14
None of Brentwood's starters played except for Welch, who could possibly be a starter
itzme
None of Brentwood's starters played except for Welch, who could possibly be a starter Well Welch certainly doesn't lack for confidence. Zero games as a starter in High School, and his quote is: "I wasn’t too good, but I think I will bounce back,” Welch said. “This was my first real action tonight. I know expectations are high, but if I keep working hard I think I will be able to play Division I ball." Oh.
bwoodbruins
not only did brentwood hold out Fugate and Van Horne they held out every other starter besides Welch.
BlazeP
Why didn't both teams start they're 1st teams? It is a scrimmage you know. Was it because of injuries?
