JPSartre
McKenzie assistants David Duncan, Randy Thomas and Brad Chappell are no doubt three of the best. Consider: Duncan was a head coach at JCM and Bolivar; Thomas was head coach at McKenzie in the 80s and 90s and Chappell is the son of former McKenzie head coach Richard Chappell. McKenzie may be one of the few, if not the only, 2A school to have three current/former head coaches on staff and the son of another. And believe it or not there is no ego friction on the staff. These guys are top-shelf.
JPSartre
Grady Andrews and Hugh Owens at Dyersburg are exceptional assistant coaches...ditto Lawrence Hurst at Martin-Westview...Jimmy Pritchard and Eric Swenson at Huntingdon are good ones as well. Vikingalumnist
The Nw Vikings have the best 2 assistants. Coach Chris and o-line coach and defensive coor. Coach Myers. This is the second program Myers has had a hand in turning around.

IronKnight
Coach Black at Carter is an up n comer. I look for him to get a head job at any time. Is coach Black still coaching at Carter? I didn't think he was still there.
LCpanthers90
The assistants for Lewis County are very good.....Coach Mike Pack, Coach Damian Clayton, Coach Kelly Spivey, Coach Clayton Callicott, Coach Matt McConnell, and Coach Paris Thompson. They are great assistant coaches. And if anyone knows... Where is Coach Scotty Duncan at now?? I hear he went to Columbia Central...is that true...if so....how is he doing.....he was like my fav. coach when I played last year. And I wish he could come back to Lewis County....where he BELONGS! GO PANTHERS!!!!
larry32102000
I don't know about being a future head coach, due to his age and his appeared happiness as an assistant to Bill Young, but Alan Carlin has got to be one of the best asst. coaches around. He had coached with Bill Young at Bearden for years, and last year, both came over to CAK, where in just their second year, have led CAK to round 2 of the playoffs. Coach Carlin is a defensive specialist, as his teams show on the field.
OldSkoolBalla
Without a doubt...JIM DAVIS of Ooltewah. He is a defensive genius. I do not doubt for a second that he could come up with a highly competitive defense for just about any college program.
GBT57
The Greenbrier coaching staff is top notch. Credit especially goes out to the man behind the defense. Keep it up Coach

eddie haskell
The assistants for Lewis County are very good.....Coach Mike Pack, Coach Damian Clayton, Coach Kelly Spivey, Coach Clayton Callicott, Coach Matt McConnell, and Coach Paris Thompson. I thought mike pack was the coach for CPA. Is he related to Chuck Pack?
mustangfan
I have to agree with sabre3 that temple is a great assistant coach at lipscomb. People say that he singlehandedly is responsible for stopping the swing pass against Ezell-harding.
