Is cheerleading a sport?

Cheerleading is a sport. Archery is a sport regardless if you compete with anyone or draw down on an animal and the same thing with shooting. Now... poker (are you listening espn)... POKER IS NOT A SPORT!

Is cheerleading a sport? heck No!! If cheerleading is a sport then so is underwater basket weaving and chess.

Cheerleading is a sport like weithlifting is a sport. Cheerleading is a sport like karate is a sport. Athletes participate in sports and cheerleaders are most definately athletes (if they do it right). AND... are you listening???? Underwater basket weaving could very potentially be a sport. It involves physical conditioning related to endurance (holding your breath).

If cheerleading is a sport, then so poker! I'll take poker as a before cheerleading, it's completely worthless!
