My voice may go on IR after that game. For anyone who has ever been to a Preds game-it was THE loudest I've ever heard the GEC. It was like a UT/Florida, Titans/Steelers playoff game-only condensed down to about 18K inside. Not as many Red Wing Fans as normal-maybe Saturn had shifts working. Volkun was unbelievable. If I was a Wing fan, I might be whistling past the graveyard. Manny only saw 21 shots and let in three, Hatcher is NOT back yet, nothing from Stevie Y at all, and nothing on your vaunted power play. I mean, they are the best team in hockey and the Preds were tied with the Islanders for the weakest record coming into the playoff. Take away a goal that Volkun kicked in and an empty netter and the Wings haven't scored much at all more than Nashville. Our payroll equals just one of your lines-for as much money as they've spent, they should be blowing Nashville out 5-0 each game. Some crank Detroit callers stated "they let us have one." Yea, right, they'd rather NOT sweep us. They want to skate their old legs off for 5,6 even 7 games. The facts are, the Preds are skating with them and are not intimidated by their crybaby cheap-shot artists. Boys, we've got a series now!

That was the loudest noise I've ever heard- period. Granted, if you put 66,000 Titan fans in a building, that would be but nevertheless, my ears still hurt. We played sooo very well. I'm very proud of our boys and I can't wait to see how the rest of it goes down. I don't know if we'll win 4-2 like I thought at first, but I'll take 4-3 too. And my David Legwand first goal prediction was just a bit off- I should have said the first home game. And Vokoun WILL get a shutout, I stand by that. He's playing amazingly.

If we get the Walker, Sullivan line going, the Dead Things could be in trouble. Was the GEC stoked, or what!!!!! A must win tuesday, cause I don't think we could crawl out of a 3-1 hole. I agree on the announcers on the saturday game in Det-riot. Could they not do their homework???? Now, it's like they just discovered the Preds. Talkin' about all our young talent, the crowd, etc.

 

Watch the Det-riot players cry over every call now. They are the experts. Actually, I believe it's time for Tootoo(or somebody)to go out there, mix it up physically, provoke a fight, and get the Dead Things thinkin' about everything but hockey. Love to see those old players expend energy complaining, angry, screamin', pleading, instead of resting.
