could be it Chief- could be running their guys in the open 800??

If that's the case, they won't have much of a chance of beating Kincaid from Karns and Hudson from Oak Ridge at sections. Both guys can run a 1:56 or better. Maybe they are just doing it for more points at region and running the "A" team at sections.

Or just somebody who made a bold prediction without having the correct facts or info about Bearden or any other team for that matter.

Dude, I'm not trying to start anything with you or your team. But, what makes you think my facts are wrong? I may not know EVERYTHING about Bearden or other teams, but I do know a lot. I base my predictions on what I do know. What's wrong with that? To my knowledge, Bearden has only ran 8:22, but they may have ran faster than that at a meet somewhere that I didn't hear about or couldn't get the results to. Not my fault. I GUARANTEE you that I know more than you EVER will about the high school track and field world here in TN. You may know more things about throwing, but I am a runner. I know about all the other teams in the state, especially the RUNNING facts (distance running to be precise). I watched and keep up with all the big time teams in the state. I have for almost two years. So don't jump on my back and tell me I don't know what I'm talking about.

All arguments aside, I wish your team the best of luck this season.

Not only do I follow throwing, but I follow running as i run also. I can pretty much name hte best times/runners in the state right now in each event. And even more-so in field events. I know that Lavergne and Oak Ridge are all sub-8:15 in the 4x800. Siegel is somewher around there. I'm almost positive I had seen a result around sub-8:15 for them. Baylor has the best time of anybody in the state.

You forgot that Micheal Doss graduated, forgot about Simeon Harris from Cordova in the hurdles and about the two guys from Houston who BEAT both Melrose guys in the decathalon. Or that Lemarcus Coker from Antioch will steal boat-loads of points from the contending schools. And didn't seem to know that our 4x200 relay is extemely quick this year AND that we have a sub-40 and sub-15 hurdler and a sub-50 and two low 22 200m runners besides Bryan Webb, who is not even a 200m runner. And our 4x400 team is quick, to say the least. That's a lot of factors you left out of the equation. Not to mention you knew nothing of our field events or what our 4x8 team is going to look like at regions.

I'm not trying to be a jerk, but please before you post something that other people are going to read, think about it. Because you were dead wrong with a lot of your predictions.

Anyway, bickering aside. My rant is over.

Thank you for telling me about siegel's 4X800 Relay time. It looks like you are the only person on this thread that can answer the question that inspired the creation of the thread by me.

What was McCallie's time in the 4X800 Relay? If it is not faster than Baylor's 8:04, then they don't have the fastest time. I'm suprised I have not heard about it.

I never knew Michael Doss graduated until Kenwoodrun said so earlier. The results from last year said he was a junior.

I knew that Cordova had a good hurdler, I just predict that Doss beats everyone this year.

I did not know about the two Houston decathletes until today. I saw it on Dyestat. I just predicted that the two best returning decathletes (Amour and Doss) would win.

I know that LaMarcus Coker is a heck of a sprinter. He should double in the 100 and 200 this year.

I have known about your great hurdler Jay Oatts ever since I saw the results from that race y'all went to in Flordia.

I know that you the discus really far, 154 feet? That's awfully good! I know you have a good jumper in Conwill and other great field athletes.

A lot of my predictions were wrong because a lot of my sources were either wrong or not updated. Usually picking the best returning athlete to win is safe, but not always!

    • hey goat! how’s monterey looking this year?!
    • several people actually. they said “snoball, do you know who railbird81 is on coacht?” I said, “never heard of her.” they said, “you ought to check it out they’re getting fired up on there like the old days.” well, you can imagine my disappointment when I came here expecting sharp, witty banter and all i found was more akin to toddlers slap fighting. and what looks like 1 guy/gal talking to themselves with multiple accounts.
    • Shopping? His family is loaded and he's 6'6 I'm pretty sure he could start anywhere in upper East TN,So no need to shop. Word is Witten got caught trying to work him out on campus and some 7 on 7 while playing athletics for Sullivan East. Word got around pretty quick and Someone turned them into TSSAA.
    • Quick update on Jacob -  Jacob celebrated his 16th birthday at Vanderbilt on Tuesday and has been in decent spirits.  His sense of humor has begun to show as he was visited by many friends.  He is swallowing a lot better now and has eaten some of his favorites (Chik-Fil-A and Five Guys).   He is getting prepared to head to Atlanta to the Shepherd Center first thing tomorrow morning.  His family has been waiting on insurance approval. In case you dont know the Shepherd Center it a world class facility and supposedly one of the best in the country for spinal injury rehab.  Praying for perfect results there. Considering the circumstances, Jacob is in decent spirits.  He has some reflexive movement in his legs which I think is probably a very positive sign.  Don't read too much into that just yet as there is no telling what the real prognosis is... just hopeful that is good thing.  I am really just happy that it seems like he has a punchers chance of getting something back.  He is a strong young man and very determined so I think he will fight as hard as he can in physical therapy while down in Atlanta. More than one of you has asked me about an address to send donations.  I know GoFundMe isn't for everyone.  If you want to go that route, you can make a check to "Blackman Wrestling Club" and we will pass anything received directly to the Kinderdines.   Jacob Kinderdine c/o Blackman Wrestling 4836 Trevino Court Murfreesboro, TN  37128 Also, want to thank everyone who has donated so far.  Jacobs dad will take a month off work and stay in Atlanta with him.  They need to learn how to take care of him and do home therapy work..... and surely Jacob will be glad his dad can be there.  All that could not happen without you all.  Depending on what happens, they will probably end up doing some home remodeling in order to accommodate Jacob at their home.  Thanks again. Here's a pic I lifted from Facebook of Jacob on Oxy talking to his Uncle.  LOL
