Ricky Upton was an outstanding H.S. RB...he could play, I didn't mean to leave him off my list...

Yeah, I ran track against Preston Brown, great athlete (I remember him as a college & pro WR).

Travis Stephens-- Clarksville Northeast, mid 90's

Kurston Biggers--- BA, mid 90's

Jeff Peebles, MBA, late 60's

Lonnie Sadler-- Madison, early 70's

 

I second the nominations of Preston Brown and Leroy Thompson. Santanio Beard was good, but I watched him go 80 yds for a TD on his 1st carry against MBA in '98 and then gain 15 yds on 16 carries for the rest of the game--- I think he was more of a beneficiary of some great O lines than a really great back. Finally, I've never seen a better run at any level than Alvin Duke's 58 yd TD to win the '94 Clinic Bowl.

Gonna have to go with Riggs and Fleming. Cant appreciate Riggs enough unless you played against him.

Sunbright: Doug Morgan, Joe Galloway, Curtis LaRue

Wartburg: Marty Cox, Donnie Mouse Shadden, Steve Garrett

That might be something I do in the future. I could always do an all-time team at each school in the county.
