They decided to keep sports here in Hamilton county StayNskool, so Ooltewah will have a team. Also, Curtis Blair will be returning as coach. The rumor is that he is taking Sumrell's teaching spot. The owls return some key starters (Watson and hullander) but i think it will be a tough challenge to go all the way to state.

thanks... curtis blair should be good for the Ooltewah soccer programs as long as he is there... with watson, hullander, and howell returning you gotta like the core of stars the lady owls have returning along with plenty of better than average role players... they improve their goalkeeping and could be very good

Are you sure that teaching "move" is going to happen? All hiring was frozen and no new spots will be filled AND no vacant spots will be filled. Let me know what you hear. As for the girls, I'm not too educated on Owls soccer! I'm going to have to do my homework.

The Lady Owls should have a pretty solid team, though state tournament will be a challenge for them. Jessie Watson, Holly Hullander, and Melissa Howell look to be the leaders of this group of girls. If they can keep the ball out of their own net, they should be able to capitalize on offense and win some matches.

    • I used to think like that many many moons ago.  I wondered the same questions but learned that it is just not that easy.  Hiring assistant coaches can be complicated at times.  It takes a few years for HC’s to get who they feel is right for their system.  Couple that with good assistant coaches getting better jobs at times and leaving your program. More to it than some think.  I think you have a good coach up there and time will tell that story.
    • okay.  Like i said initially, it's question we have to ask, but we sure don't know the answer yet.
    • You’re right, I shouldn’t jump the gun on it. Hopefully it isn’t related to the sports programs, because it’ll end up affecting a lot of innocent kids who just enjoy playing sports.
    • I totally agree but just don’t want to see people jumping the gun by insinuating it was for athletic reasons. Nobody knows at the moment except for those involved in the incident itself and those investigating.
    • Bruh, That portion of the post was simply a product of my imagination. Try to keep up.  The real purpose of the post was to rub salt in this fresh wound following FF’s departure to BGA.
