? About Brent Hayes from Chattanooga Central

First of all, I think Brent Hayes is an excellant football player, but is he really a D1 prospect. My personal opinion of seeing him play is that if he is a D1 prospect, it is not at LB (not enough foot speed). I think he would be more suited for DT. I think he is more of a D1AA prospect. This is just my opinion and I do think he is one of the better players in the Chattanooga area? What do you all think?

Get your facts straight Brent played until the Tyner Game last year. Up until the second half of the Ryner game Brent had like 79 Total tackles on the season. (That Like 4 1/2 Games). Hayes is about 6'1 or 6'2 about 245 lbs. he could put some weight on in the right college s/c program and move to dt.

for once I think the Central fans have it right. Brent Hayes really can play D-I ball as long as he really focus' on his speed and agility seeing as he already has the size to play LB... Theyve been known to boast in the past that players were ready for big time d-1 but thi s time its true

not sure, i mean he's not a speed demon by any means, but he is not slow, i'd say he has a little above average speed for a high schooler of his size, i mean he trains with running while a parachute is tied behind him so i've heard, thats gotta do somethin for him

If he is borderline at D1-D1AA he would be a great pickup for the Chattanooga Mocs to build off of their #1 class this past season.

If he is around 6'2, 245 with pretty good speed he would make I think a very good DE for them if he could put on about 15-20lbs.

I think the mocs would be a great place for hayes. but i really think he will get some D1 offers. i think he can have his pick at D1AA teams. Great speed for a High school linebacker, but not SEC speed at LB. I think his future is at DL.

If Brent stays around 235 he would dominate his league. I heard he has worked out pretty hard all summer and will be ready to play.
