i don't think that it is because he's not giving the mid-state teams respect, but they haven't beaten any listed in the top 10 in head to head meetings the past 2 weeks at the steeplechase meets except for BA. siegel is the next closest, but they didn't beat # 8, 9 or 10 from the rankings. not yet anyway.

Berry just got his third win in a row.  Won county by 1 sec. over huwe.  siegel got first in boys and girls county and of course becca carrol got first in girls...blackman go second in boy's county...and lavergne got second in girls.  I think Blackman was really underrated for their county.

How about Berry and the rest of the boys from Region 4 AAA....4 of the top 5 from the region meet made All-State by placing in the top 13 overall out of 190. 3rd Hannah (Lebanon), 5th Berry (Blackman), 11th Welsh (Tullahoma) and 13th Fischer (Columbia). And Huwe and Hurder of Siegel also had strong runs and cut off chunks of time. Out of 8 regions, to have 4 in the top 13 shows how tough this region is. Best of Luck in the future to those 4 seniors (Welsh, Fischer, Huwe and Hurder) and look forward to seeing Hannah and Berry back next year.

    • College coaches stopped looking at Winfree after the coach destroyed Winfree's reputation and shared things with coaches.
    • Congratulations to Coach Runyon. He seemed to do a good job when I watched his teams play. He didn't coach like he was ready to retire. With that being said... both coaching positions in the same district open... which one of these jobs is the best job and why?  also, it is a coincidence that they both leave at the same time...

    • good points. I guess the question is do the coaches need to be out of the classroom and get paid for just coaching. maybe move the coaching jobs to just coaching and no teaching. that would open up the coaching ranks to some good coaches that are not qualified to teach. Then you could do contracts and pay them whatever you want to pay them. move the positions to contracts.  Just like college. Thoughts?
    • It's not just DB, I don't think any of the NET big schools will ever be relevant in football.      Meaning in the playoffs.....
