With both McKenzie and Union City moving down, and everyone knowing that Bruceton and Lake County won't stay in their current funks forever, Class 1A in West Tennessee is about to get very good. Gleason and Halls really need to get it all together or they're gonna be left far behind. I would hate to see those schools become like Bradford and drop the sport.

Oh yeah, I forgot about Halls. You are right. That 1A region could really produce at finalist year in and year out if Bruceton gets there game back.

Next year Region7-A should look like this McKENZIZE,Bruceton, West Carroll,Jackson Christian, Trinty Christian and Middleton. Region8-A should look like this Union City,Lake County,Halls, So.Fulton, Greenfield and Gleason. That is if the powers to be do things right.

I'm sure you're not expecting the Lords of the TSSAA to do the right thing, are you? :o ... I like your alignments. The counties of Lake, Obion and Weakley are straight across at the top of NW Tennessee with Halls not too far of a trip from any of the others, and this would keep the Jackson schools at the center of another rather tight-nit league. Splitting up McK and UC, two programs moving down in classification, will be the key. I'm sure, no matter how badly the TSSAA winds up screwing this very simple alignment issue up, they will surely keep those two teams separate. Then again, that's what everyone thought when Milan and Westview dropped from 3A to 2A a few years back, but the Lords of the TSSAA stuck them in the same region with UC and Humboldt.

Good alignments!! I agree. TSSAA will screw this up.

NWTennSports "Class 1A in West Tennessee is about to get very good".

Where you been?  Region 7A has been very good in West Tn, has been very good for many years and will conitnue without USJ.

Good point. 7-1A has been very good for several years, and should continue to be. One has to look back no farther than last year when all four 7-1A teams beat the 8-1A teams in the first round of the playoffs. .... So, my point is that all of Class 1A football in West Tenn should get better, and the additions of McKenzie and UC will make this area even stronger.

    • Yep..could possibly have 3 teams ranked in top ten in the same four team district.
    • He had an opportunity to be the OC at TC without final say in the offensive gameplan. How does that work? Smh. Head Coaches are public figures regardless of the community size, and yes there are some out there, it’s irrelevant and not fair to them to name them on here. Also why is said “head coach” the head coach of the MS baseball program to begin with? Oh because no one wants it. As for the Lebanon question, I know what I’ve been told so just going off here say, some of the boosters were not happy with his roster decisions and wanted him out. Although he lead them to 20+ wins in multiple seasons
    • A head coach in the school system? No I dont think so. Head coaches are public figures in small communities. Not trying to slander, but this is an actual question. Do you know why he was forced to resign at Lebanon? This was his second chance.  He already left trousdale once and had an opportunity to come back a couple of years ago but spoiled that.
    • Are you perfect? Nope no one is, at the end of the day there are several teachers/coaches and even some in the Trousdale County school system that have DUI’s on their record. You’re correct on it being a bad mistake and it unfortunately could have ended horribly. While you consider the consequences minimal, I can assure you they are not. Ultimately I hope and have faith that he will learn from it and use it to better himself.
